Of course, you'd need to get Jr.VIP first and then pay for the BST thread and offer a review copy to mod. But if you wan't to start small, I'd suggest Fiverr or SEOClerks.

Fiverr, SEOClerks and other such sites don't require portfolio. A portfolio is advised if you are opening a BST.

Best thing is go to forums ! You need a wide range of your customers.

When you are new in forum .. try offering them free designs for the first 5-10 customers. This way you can kick start and people are going to put up a review for you. This way it works much better.

IF you give to the community, the community will pay you back i.e customers.
