Need help with ranking better for entertainment website.

Hello,

I run an entertainment website and I've been struggling to rank higher on google for keywords targeted for the Pakistani users. I would really like some expert opinion on how to go forward with a strategy to help increase my rank on google. All the content produced is original and high quality. A team of highly qualified authors write the content on the website and I get most of the traffic from facebook which isnt something I want. I want traffic to start generating from google as well.

Any links, any strategy on how to go ahead with the current state of my website would be helpful. If someone could take the time out to visit the website and let me know if im doing something wrong so that I can correct it, I would highly appreciate it.

Well Im interested in promoting the Pakistani cinema and music industry through the website. So I take interviews and do film and song reviews and also a handful of tutorials on the site. The articles are then shared on social networking sites like facebook and twitter. I still dont have a google pagerank which I believe is because of the lack of backlinks. I bought around 3 fiverr gigs that would help with this situation but I dont see any improvement. The google webmaster tool tells me I have 567 links to my site (which would be my backlinks I assume). So Im wondering what am I doing wrong or not doing at all.

Don't go to Fivver, I know of quality services here on BHW.
I'm also not asking you to give away your entire niche buddy haha. Social Networking does work for news sites, but monetizing Social traffic is very difficult.
Ranking for News is also something I wouldn't have experience in since keywords are so random.
I would suggest buying/getting a steady stream of High PR backlinks to your homepage on relevant authority sites, test with quality links in increments and see where it takes you. It's more feasible than 500 apparently LOUSY backlinks. Even try ranking individual articles for keywords and backlinking them the same way. That should be possible with celebrity interviews, tutorials and such.

I don't think you have the budget and wit for a local SEO. That's what you need.... Authority links from pakistani based sites. In most cases, you will have to buy and create them for yourself.

From what I know, that niche is rather competitive. I'd say you need an original idea, like an exclusive interview with a celebrity if you can land it.
Or something else to get the ball rolling.
SEO-wise, I think you should
- do thorough keyword research for every piece of content you write
- optimize site speed, images, create image alt tags
- buy adwords to give the site a jump-start (don't know your budget though) and make the Subscribe button stand out

well all you have to do is to work hard and create high quality backlinks manually with keyword as an anchors.and focus on social networking sites because social networks can drive more traffic if your niche is entertainment.
