This is what happens when you bait Matt Cutts into an attack

I always Tell IF YOU USE THE SAME COMPUTER it doesn't matter if you change ip or connect from another location or whatever you do. I know this because I used to create ADWORDS account with coupons and they were working well. But 1 day they decided to ban them. And there you go all accounts created with diffrent ips banned in the blink of an eye. The one account i created with diff. comp and diff. ip was not banned???? They track down your comp. not only ip. And if you use WMT and analytics or gmail i can't even think of how deep they know about your personal life. I don't think they have any limits and also i am pretty sure they even know our names,address,websites,friends,phones and do you think governments care about this ???????????????? Are you kidding me they buy this info from Google. I am sure they give google a hand to collect all the data they can.

You can think it. But I know Gorang well, and thats not him, and if you haven't worked it out; his real name is not Gorang.

Truth is you will never know. Even if you or they did, woopie doo! so what, what does it actually achieve other than proving you breach privacy laws??!!

Google took well OVER A DECADE to add simple warnings on their searches for anyone typing in "child p*rn abuse pictures" eradicating websites and links like this are the things that do matter.


Oh Mr Cutts.... there are SOOO MANY more important things you and your team could be spending time on than trying too finding out who Gorang is or taking down 1 network in every several thousand that spring up daily.


Get over it.. move on, stop wasting time on these things and spend it on ridding the internet of something that does matter like ridding all child po*n sites etc...

That exchange is infuriating isn't it? It really bothers me...to bad 99% of the population are gladly using Chrome, Gmail and submitting to this blatant violation of privacy everywhere these days. And I'm not just talking about Google, Windows 8.1 and iPhones/iPads/uNameIt all are a bunch of urchings, filming you, recording your every move....
 
This is quite scary, your whole im career can be ruined because you said something to the wrong guy.

And, to your second part; to think it was me that only a few short weeks ago was posting wondering whether G would use the contents of Gmail 'against us'!

I have been doing SEO for couple months, only white-hat, (did purchase some facebook likes and couple backlinks)

Is this true? If so, would using a VPS with private proxies make any difference?

Unfortunately not - it's no longer just about the IP address.

For those of you wanting to play games with websites, it's helpful to understand that your computer has a unique 'fingerprint' that's not easily masked. Proxies, refreshes, cookie deletes, and all the reboots in the world won't help you!

Got it. So just to add that on to my current plan of action, for each site I will use 1 private proxy, 1 sim card and 1 laptop. Simples :)
 
Interesting.

Things anyone can do, even if you're not Google are:

A reverse IP check on your domain and then running up and down through the sites in a sequence would give some good data, unless you're on unique C-Class IPs.

There is GA, this is easy to check against all sites and ownerships.
Adsense IDs - all traceable
Webmaster Tools string (if you put the string in the meta) that's traceable

If you're working at Google then... You do know Google are a registrar though don't you?
They can view ownership of a private domain.

Then there's Gmail... needless to say the continual request for the "connected accounts" which are being pushed are leaving a footprint.

Even the "what are you using this account for" question that's appearing lately will be doing something, it's not for "security" lol

It'd probably very easy if you were head of spam at Google.

With all that said, there is no Tweet on MC's account on the dates mentioned or screenshot, unless it was a DM?

Yes this is totally true information. You can create 1 account with windows VPS and connect to your google account with it but the problem is you can only create 1=) if you add another for example WMT account on the same vps they will track it asap. As tonyd said every comp has a footprint and i don't know how (and never could solve it) but they have a way to find it out and just connect the accounts together ASAP. AND ITS NOT MAC ADDRESS. Tried changing it too. Diffrent browsers, user agents doesn't work. Even today when i use hidemyass with USA vpn it just opens my local country google =). I am %100 sure they can track us to 1-2 blocks around our home addresses. I have read articles about how their cars they used for "Google MAPS" =) was searching for wireless modems and those modems MAC Addresses. Hope this gives you a hint=)))
