I like what you're doing OP, can't go wrong with working on content.
Just try to decide what you're doing with backlinks, yes, no, who, budget, anchors, diversity, etc
Have you thought of social signs as well? I generate most of my new website's traffic through twitter, facebook, pinterest, whatever seems to fit the niche best tbh.

Ouch, 90 articles and only 5 UV after a month of posting? There may be an issue there, with your theme, with your content, you may be keyword stuffing, maybe your theme is overoptimizing your pages without you realizing it, your articles may be cannibalizing each other, any number of issues.
If you're building out a 90 article site based on 1 keyword, you may be shooting yourself in the foot. Every article you write should be distinct enough that it is shooting for some specific keyword (not the main keyword, but related), and if the main is only 2500 exact, all your sub keywords should be in the 200 to 600 exact range. With no backlinks, your articles should get indexed with ranking between 50 and 100.
It doesn't sound like you're chasing after smaller related keywords, all your 90 articles are about the main 2500 keyword? That doesn't sound like its the best strategy.

With the guidance of phpbuilt, I am hopefully going to the right direction.
So I just pruned more than half of my articles because I was shooting myself, I was overoptimizing everything.

This will help some of you (like me) a lot.
After a long keyword research, I am starting to write for 100 monthly searches and would scale it up little by little.
So i've made 10 articles aiming for different keywords. I am now aware of keyword density also. Still doing the interlinking which is good. Im using http://kesor.net/keyword-density/ for checking my keyword density for the article alone. Keeping it at about 1-2.5%
So as of now, I have 33 articles posted. 23 from the previous ones, 10 for the new low search keywords with more than $1 CPC.
I have 67 articles in the draft and would be moving these articles one by one to 3 web 2.0 and hope to get a quality push from Google since the articles are all unique.
I hope you guys follow me. It is really hard getting back up. Cleaning all the articles and checking what is best for that keyword.
I would like to thank phpbuilt for lending me a hand and pointing me to the right direction.

I am also thinking to put up another site which is aimed to be an authority site because of the hiccups I just got.
I'll be starting it after I get my ROI which is $12.
Well im sure it will be better! Than this site.
For the meantime, I'll be concentrating with this.
I have 2 sidebars (left and right) with adsense. That is all I have right now.
If I see more traffic, I'll be starting to put adsense somewhere between the posts.
For 2 of my posts, I have linked it with amazon.

I'm ranking #25-30 for my main keyword.
I still get 5 UVs in average
Today, I added adsense at the top post and after the post.
I have 73 Articles in total and haven't been updated the site since Jan 11.
I only got a total of $1.5 dollar from adsense from the start of the journey till now

Just to give an update.
I'm ranking number 1 for my main keyword!
other keywords are in page 1
an average of 200 UVs.
I get $4 a day on adsense and get some from amazon ($35 for this month and counting)
Looks good from here.
