[NOT EXACTLY A RANT] GSA SER is the devil!!

to my experience to get the best results out from GSA is to build Web2.0 backlinks alone as tier one with good unique articles for 3 weeks at-least. takeout all the verified links and use Bookmarking and Wiki sites as tier 2 for another 2 weeks. use comments as your tier 3 at only high PR websites. I am already seeing some good results with this method.

You know you can rank sites with barely any backlinks at all.

Find some good keywords that are buying-intent keywords, where the person who typed it in certainly wants to buy it. Stay away from exact product names, more focused on the general description of the product. For instance, instead of shooting for "Frigidaire 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner", you would try for "buy aircon with dehumidifier".

There's 2 reasons for this. The first is that every single store out there are all trying to rank for the "Frigidaire 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner", by default. They make a product page, they stick the product name in the title. Not a single one of them has even thought to try to rank for the buying terms that someone types when they're not exactly sure what they want.

Second reason for doing this, if they type in "Frigidaire 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner", they know what they want already. They're going to the #1 SERP (which looks like Amazon, Walmart, Lowes, Fridgidaire, Best Buy).

But, if they typed in "buy aircon with dehumidifier", that means they don't know what they want. They will actually surf the SERPs and you could get an interested buyer click on your site even if you're in the teens.

Next, you write the best damn article on the internet comparing the top five dehumidifying air conditioners.

Get yourself set up with Google+, so that your pen name picture will show up in the serps and increase your click-through ratio.

With that alone (and no backlinks), you'll get traffic and sales. I create a nice web 2.0 property every other day to link to the site.

Then, if you need to later on -- juice the web2.0s with GSA.

Keyword research is vital. Pick highly profitable stuff with a combined 400 to 1500 exact searches. (Like if widget (singular) is 170, widgets (plurl) is 170, buy widget is 50 and your profit on a sale will be $40+, you're probably going to get at least one sale a month. That's over $1 per day per article you've got.

I like to use a title that has the buying phrase and then has some kind of ending that generates curiosity. Like in the serps it'll look something like "Buy aircon with dehumidifier, She said the humidity ..." -- someone reads a title like that in the serps it generates curiosity. She said the humidity what? Hmm I got to check that out.

Heavily curate your articles. If you type in your buying phrase, you should come in to the top 100 results with zero backlinks. If your article isn't even in the top 200 ... it means you keyword stuffed and didn't write a very good article (you didn't reference related terms for the content). Go back and adjust it so your article naturally falls within the top 50 at least. I keep my combined keyword density under 1.5% (so the plurl and the singular keywords of the same term, I don't go over 1.5% for both combined).

All the articles on your site should be somehow related. Every article you write should be able to link to another article on your site ... the most related article. Then, after you write your article ... go back to other articles you've previously written and stick a link from that old article back to your new one. Each article should be linking out to at least two pages on your site, in-content. Immediately after you write it, you should get at least 2 links to that page from older articles.

After you've written 20 articles, those pages that were coming in at #30 are now ranking in the teens, under the weight of your own internal backlinking alone -- with zero external links. For this to work, every page in your site has to be of a high enough quality that it ranks for its keywords -- any page that doesn't rank is dead weight. If after 3 revisions you still can't get an article to rank in the top 50 with no backlinks ... delete it or completely rewrite it.

While you're building the site, make a decent web2.0 property every other day or so. By the time you have 100 articles, you should have at least 50 web2.0 properties. That's basically just 1 backlink every 2 articles ... hardly anything.

With 100 articles, you should be top 10 for every article on your website. Your goal should be to make at least $1 per day per article. If you targeted a 400 exact keyword, and you're in the top 10, you should get at least 100 visits to that page a month and if you targeted products where you're making at least $30 per sale, that's $1 per day.

At $100 a day, thats 3 grand a month. You should be able to sell the site for at least 12 to 16 months of income, which is a lot.

This route is a hell of alot of work, but requires very few backlinks and makes your site extremely stable. Near the end, you can start juicing all your web2.0s with GSA if you like, and those teens-ranked articles will all become top 10.

If you're shooting for higher competition keywords then add some expired PR domains to the web2.0s and write nice articles on them leading to your site.

Thanks man! That helped a lot! Though Im not yet in selling products, that will surely help!
Maybe my problem is being too impatient...

I didn't mean to tell you to give up man, definitely not, I'm just saying that trying to achieve good position without actually watching your serps for different keywords doesn't make much sense. It's crucial to see what's going with your site's positions while you are trying different approaches

ohh ok man. I understand.
I will think about this man.

Actually that's what I tried first man, without any results :(

That's because all the links gsa ser creates are on the list of disavowed links that google knows.

Not really.

Build your own site lists. It's a slower process, but you can end up getting sources that little to no people have. I have done tests with GSA SER alone, and along side other link building practices, and It works fine for my needs.

Most of the links GSA builds for me Is on links I manually fed It. Scrapebox alongside GSA SER Is a perfect match.

That cliche saying, "It's not the tool, but how you use It." Is correct.

I can't solve your issue because you seemed to be boxed in.
The programs I have purchased never mentioned in sales page you have to buy another program for it to work...

IMO Scrapebox is undisputed and has great tutorials.
Be careful when you get there because the sloth who has been at #1 for xx-years is gona try to knock your d##k in the dirt.

Good Luck!

There are more than a handful strategies posted every month about ranking websites, if GSA doesn't work for you, try something else. You listed quite a few things for 2-3 months worth of work. If you are ranking sites, do just that, stick with it and you'll be ranking your first site sooner than you might think right now.

phpbuilts method should work with little bit of tweaks of our own. Lot of work but can't go wrong with that.

Interesting. Would you mind exploding on your GSA experiments dude?

Boxed in?!
I've learned a lot about tiered link building and I have been working on everything I've learned WITH and WITHOUT seo tools dude...

And what do you mean that the sloth that has been ranking xx-years is gonna try to knock my desk in the dirt? Or did you mean my duck in the dirt? :D:D

That's correct man. And yes, I have tried many strategies from many forums, but I must be doing something wrong that I can't see man :L

@The-guy-above-this-reply: Yeah, I might give it a shot, but not yet as Im not on the selling real stuff niches and so on. (Im still on cpa, cb, yt and so)

There is ONE really important thing you have to have in mind to be able to rank a website now, this is depending on the domain you have ( i.e emd, partial match,no match) the % of anchor text with exact match on your keywords is the Key. Of course if you do good keyword and competition research with tools such as ahref, you will find out the %s you need for exact and partial match anchor text.

Hey buddy,

I think it's with the niches you're on. Gsa alone works for easy niches.

These are YT videos on easy keywords.

Here's a blogger that I've been using gsa solely on, inspired by your spamathon journey remember? It's a relatively easy niche.

I use wac - gsa ser magic both for tier 1 and 2.

And oh, track your keywords man, it's a good thing.

@aldragon: nice thoughts man. Actually, i do that to study the competition, to distinguish between big and little competition :D

@banchi08: ohh yeah man! How could i forget about that?? But still, those rankings will be temporal because of the nature of that method :)

Anyway guys, after recapping what ive done and where i am headed, i just regained ky confidence by accepting this problem to be quite small, compared to the ones that await me in the future as my ultimate goal is to reach the moon!

People laugh at my goal, but if i want to reach the moon, i will have to conquer so many problems that comparing that to ranking a site, ranking a site is an insignificant problem!
And after realising that, i literally laughed at my psudo-rant on this thread! Haha! I mean, if not ranking a site discourages me, idk what will happen when much bigger problems arrive! :D:D

Now that I regained my confidence, i will try again and set up a new site, post hq content there, wait until it ranks naturally without backlinks, and once it starts to rank but not on 1st page, i will do some manual backlinks; and if after that i dont rank, i will proceed to use gsa ser on the manual backlinks for more power! :)

Thank you guys for your advices! :)

But still, i would love te get more insight from you guys about the little plan i wrote in this reply :)

Hey guys,

Though this is not a ranting thread, i can def say that gsa ser is the devil, why??

Well, simply because for most people, this beast is their way to succeed in seo. Obviously it is not the only tool they use, but its probably the most important tool in their arsenal.

And then, there are people in my position, that cant rank a simple site in uncompetitive niches or on very long tail KWs. I mean, the only thing that ive ranked (and by ranking i mean in any position in 1st page), is a 2009 1pager blog without any backlinks or onpage seo.

Idk whats wrong, but probably gsa ser doesnt like what i do and therefore these results. I mean, my goal is $100/day but after 2-3 months of hard work and not seeing any decent results its really descouraging and frustrating as hell.

Ive tried ranking yt videos on Google and YouTube, tried ranking sites on ppd niches, whitehat sites on cpa whitehat offers, tried churn and burn method on many bloggers (which none succceeded), ive tried tier link building without any succcess, even after trying copy-paste gsa ser campaign blueprints.

Ohh man, idk what to think guys, i mean, i even tried ranking without the use of gsa ser on very long tail kws but not even there i can succeed.

Many people tell me that its onpage seo or link creation velocity, and believe me or not, ive tried fast oink building in 1 site and slow/scheduled tier link building on another, and none have succeeded...

I say that GSA SER is the devil because for some people it works wonders and for others is like just trashing money down the drain...

What do you think i should do, guys? Comments? Suggestions?

Though i wont quit, watching no results after working hard its quite descouraging. .. :/

In NOvember I looked at several people's GSA set ups.
2 things stood out.

Firstly GSA doesn't offer the best control. It tries to do a lot, but doesn't do anything that well. These days I want to know exactly what sites I'm posting to before I start. I want to know what content, in what spun form is going to be posted on what site.
I'm going to insist on buiding profiles not "links" as well. Links on their own are so "early 2103" :)

But it can rank some sites in some niches if you set it up properly - and that's where people go wrong.
If you just turn it on and let rip it's just as likely to get you sandboxed as ranked. Out of the box - as it stands - it's not good at all. You need to set it up with some care.

Then their is the content. The quality links these days all have content.
Link on great site surrounded by content that fails Panda test = Waste of time
Doesn't mean unique - it means "not crap"

Nice to see you're up and running again bud,

I've been building niche sites myself too, using the same plan as yours. Nothing successful yet, with a few months spent already, although I get a few sales a week in Amazon.

Here's the list of web 2.0s I used for tier 1 when I started out, It made my site appear in the top 100 within 3 days as far as I remember. Hope it'll help you out: WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, Weebly, *Quora, *Squidoo, *Webs, *HubPages, Blog.com, PureVolume, Fotki, Soup.io, *PostBit, Wizzley, Beeplog, KiwiBox, *BlogyMate

*no-follow

I'm sure there's a lot more.

Its not the software that matters, its the way you setup everything! WIth GSA i got good results, u must just stick to it

I've been using seo software for years, GSA is included. Like many other software, GSA is ok if you know how to customize it. The negative point of using seo software is their footprint. GSA has footprints too, and if you can master it, then it will be ok. I quit using software 3 years ago, and started my own authority sites, while it needed a long time and hard works, but it's worth it if you don't want to have churn and burn sites.

Looks like we are both on the same boat. GSA also never worked for me for ranking sites. The only thing which seems to work for me is to build authority sites with thousands of indexed pages all targeting long tail keywords. If you have 200 pages and each gets 10 u.v per day you will be averaging 2000 u.v. per day.....

Mix GSA SER with high PR blog network so it looks natural. You'll get on the top page in no time.

@scritty: thanks for the advice man. I think i actually tried scraping sites befor posting and it makes a difference in lpm and quality. :)

@bonchi: thanks buddy! Yea, platform diversity is key, andnkaybe thats the reason im not ranking. I will try them all.

@triplex: would you mind exploding your gsa ser details and platforms? :)

@umerjutt: i added you buddy :)

@xenergy: i will def try that mate! :)

I just yesterday bought GSA and dont even have a captcha service yet. I am looking for videos or one of these blueprints you guys have mentioned? I want to get the very most out of this tool and I don't even plan on building links direct to my money sites. I have a real world business so I plan on building the links to my citation pages.
