Building a healthy twitter account?

Having a go at trying to build a healthy twitter account from scratch. This is my first time trying. I've used twitter for years on my personal account and it is somewhat popular.

This account will be used for business in the future so I'm only going after a niche market of people with it. Should I go follow for follow with them forever? My strategy right now is buy followers, use Twitter Money Bot to scrape the niche, follow people all while tweeting, rting, and faving great content. So far my plans going well (I'm getting RT's, Fav's and legitment follows) but at what point should I stop following back?

I am noticing that basically for every tweet now we are seeing 1 favorite MINIMUM.. or every other tweet. Tweeting ~10-15 times a day. If I was running the account I could be a bit more selective on who to follow etc but I'm letting my girlfriend run it so she can get the experience and it is her business and I'm just working on the marketing portion. If anyone else has advice, let me know! And thank you all for your replies


Is there any free unfollow who don't follow you back bots? I'm probably going to be buying twitter money bot v3 when it comes out, but for the time being?

I have been trying a method out for a few months, and it seems to be working good. It takes patience though, but what I do is run 5 main accounts. Then I have been running 500 accounts which I call my "feeder accounts." I use the feeder accounts to follow people in my niche hoping they followback. The feeder accounts also always follow people back and tweet a few tweets a day to look active. I use Tweet Attacks to do this.

On following, it has been trial and error trying to get the feeder accounts not to get suspended. I seem to be relatively safe if I don't follow more than 25 new people a day for now. For the people that follow me first, I set the followback limit to about 50-75 a day. I also take days off from following new people. Once I age the accounts another month or so, I will experiment in increasing the people I follow back.

As for unfollowing, I find that is the biggest reason my accounts get suspended. So for now, I have decided not to unfollow anyone on my feeder accounts. Once they reach 2,000 followers. I will start unfollowing people that don't followback, but for now it doesn't matter since I am following under 1000 for all 500 accounts.

So for the real purpose is for these accounts, is that I also have them RT anything I tweet from the 5 main accounts. So basically, I do my following while I'm asleep. During the day, I just run the accounts to keep RTing anything new from my main accounts. Slowly, the followers from the feeder account will start following he main accounts and I never follow people back on the main accounts to have a high follower to following ratio. Thus leaving your main accounts free from the potential of getting suspended.

One thing also on the main accounts is that I bought 10,000 followers for 3 of them to get them started. That way the real accounts look more legit, and people more likely to follow accounts that look popular. The other 2 main accounts were my originals when I started back in 2010, one has 10,000 and the other 110,000 that were grown organically.

I dont know. If you are just starting out with your account, then you are probably a long way from stopping following back. Id suggest you keep doing it. Its not doing you any harm. Just keep in mind to stay under the radar.

Spin hits on some excellent points and strategies. I have several 'suicide' accounts that I used to spam follow and see who follows back. Once I know who will reliably followback, I follow those people.

I would continue to do what you're doing. Go cautiously into TwitterMoneyBotv3. I have a paid v2 and it's good for niche things but far from perfect. Make sure you know it does exactly what you want it to do.

I use twidium inviter and accounter and they work well for managing large #s of accounts. I manage about 1000 accounts, most have 1000-2000 followers - a few with 5-10k (these are just my twitter army accounts, NOT the business account that I actually support with the army)

I would follow people you feel confident will follow you back for now, tweet a lot of good content and go slowly. When you get close to the 2000 limit, BUY 2000 or so followers so you can keep on going.

Unfollow, as SPIN, mentioned is where you're going to get suspended if you're not incredibly slow and careful Here are some rules:

Don't refollow someone you've unfollowed (so, yes, you have to keep track)
Don't unfollow ONLY people who don't follow you back (that is a red flag for twitter). So mix in some people who DO follow you (choose those who are inactive, have a standard avatar, speak only Russian, whatever)
Don't unfollow shortly after following (I say give it at least a week)
Don't unfollow more than 20-30 in a day and NOT every day.

Good luck. The people who succeed at this are the people with patience. The people that declare twitter useless are the ones who constantly look for shortcuts or run afoul of twitter because they forget that slow and steady wins the race.

Great. You two are hitting on some key points that I didn't know about. Previously I was told following up to 1k a day is FINE. I proceeded with caution anyway since it is not a mature account. I've been on it for about a week, somedays following upwards of 400 off a keyword. I have followed multiple people twice, but after hearing this info I will stop botting on my main account completely.

But, I don't think my account is flagged by any means. I have so many interactions with other REAL twitter users and have established myself within a small twitter community already within this first week. Things are looking good, but thank you all for the tips I will HALT the mass followings on my main account and run some suicide accounts for the time being.


Question about suicide accounts - would you suggest proxies? I assume yes. If so, where do you acquire them? Buy them from Fiverr or other members here?

Depending on which niche you're after, you can use favorites to gain followers as well. There's a favorite imacros script here on BHW

Thanks! I've been goin hard with the favorites but they don't seem to be paying off. True interaction seems to be what is working the best so far. Luckily my partner in this (Girlfriend) is down to tweet all day and interact with people so it works out well for me haha.

OP, I've been building accounts for 6 months now. To be honest there's nothing wrong with following lots and lots of people back BUT they should be the same genre as your account.

For instant, I own a girl account (Similar to Ilikegirlsdaily) my strategy has been to follow all of Ilikegirlsdaily retweeters so that I not only get active followers, but also they're active in the same genre that I'm posting.

For accounts, I have bought the accounts in bulk from OP approved sources on here. I have made a couple purchases, and my recommendation would be to buy those that have been email verified and from sellers that also provide you with the email account and password it is tied to. The reason is that it if one of those accounts get suspended you can log in manually and try to get it suspended. You need the email address for this.

As for proxies, I have been using public proxies. I know that is against what people recommend on here, but I haven't had much problem with them so far. Tweet Attack Pro allows you to bind proxies to the accounts.

I just look for as many proxies online as I can and then load them into the program. I don't even pay attention what kind they are. Tweet attacks has a feature that lets you check the proxies to see if they work on twitter. That's how I do it. It's the most time consuming part, but I am new like you and I don't make enough money online to justify paying for private proxies at this point.

As for a seller, I don't want to break any forum rules by posting the name on here at the risk that the moderators will think I'm promoting something I shouldn't. I don't know the rules, but I know they have OP approved ones in the forum and that is how I decided on one to use.
