Building a healthy twitter account?

So, my progress is as follows -

Bought 100 verified accs, got their emails too. Working on manually changing avis, bios, backgrounds etc.

which leads me to the next question - when im following etc, I make sure my accounts are using proxies, but when i am going in by hand and changing their avis, names, bios etc I am just using my regular IP... is this something I should be wary of?

Couple of things. Try the 'trial' version of Twidium Accounter - it will batch change bio, avatar, background, header, location and URL (you supply the text files/images which is easy to do). Much faster and more efficient than doing it by hand. I have the paid version and think it works great but the trial (which is free) will work. It limits how many you can do at a time, but it's still faster.

Be consistent with your IP addresses. If you're going to tweet and follow from an IP address then do ALL your work from that IP. Indicentally, there's nothing wrong with using a single IP for 100 accounts (people will tell you that this can't be done but they are wrong). It just depends WHAT YOU DO with those accounts. Spam from them, over follow or unfollow and you'll get suspended.

re: Suspensions. You WILL eventually get some accounts suspended. Appeal it. Yes it's a pain in the ass but even if it takes 3-4 minutes PER suspension, you're talking about 3-4 hours of your time to un-suspend all 100 accounts which is worth it. Also once an account is proven to be a real human (ie a manual appeal is filed and a real email reply is sent to twitter) your chances of being resuspended go way down (assuming you obey twitters guidelines)

Slow and steady and it will work.

I agree with everything just said here, and I thank you for the info on Twidium. I am doing the same thing manually, and this is valuable.
 
Thank you eqpaisley! I tried replying this morning but the board wasn't letting me quote you. Twidium is an awesome tool thank you so much for bringing it up! I downloaded it, loved it, might even buy the full version..

I can't seem to figure out where to find the tool you speak of, mass changing avis, bios etc?

Twidium has 2 products (well, they have more than 2 -- but 2 main ones) Inviter and Accounter. Really they should be ONE suite of tools but for some reason the developer has broken them into 2 different programs.

Inviter follows by keyword, by list, etc and unfollows (plus I think has a great scraper). Twidium Accounter does the mangement of bio/location etc and tweets, retweets and replies.

Both have a trial version (like I said I have the paid version of both but I worked with the trial version for few weeks to be 100% sure it was right for me, it's personal preference so I strongly encourage the trial).

Well now that we have so many knowledgeable people in this thread I will continue with the questions and anyone can answer -

My twitter right now is niched specifically for my business which sells PHYSICAL products. Not PPD or anything like that. As of now, our products will be listed on etsy and ebay. Would you guys recommend I build a website? I do not think it would be tough to rank with this keyword, on this site I could have a live twitter feed, sale page and unique content. Would that be useful, or do you think I will get most of my sales via twitter..?

And I'm sorry if that seems vague. You know how it goes, not trying to say too much about my niche but still looking for assistance in it!
 
If you are going to build a business account then this is what you should do.

Go to datasift.com, and sign up for an account. Set up some twitter firehose streams, so you can get real-time tweets as they happen based on keywords, twitter users, @, #hashtags, shit anything really.Why risk it with fake bullshit accounts, and doing some mass following. Just get your twitter account on auto-follow or auto reply by having your account react to live real-time tweets. Seriously!
 
Just not sure how I feel about mass following. I feel like the more followers you have, the less official looking you are, also you can't see your twitter timeline since it is moving so quickly, so you can interact with other users as easily?
 
You are correct that the more you follow, the less impressive your followers look. You want to follow other important people in your niche and high profile people that you might like to attract the attention of but mass following might not be for you.

I can't offer insight on the web site building thing, not my area of expertise. Perhaps a new thread for that specific question would attract a new set of eyes that know more about it.
