I would decrease a number of thumbnails at one page - it will make space for larger pictures and more content.

If 100 people reply to this thread, everyone will have different opinion about the design of the site, because people are different and everyone have different taste =))) What about articles structure ? Is it good for reading ? Is it boring ? Well SEO optimized ?
When you first jump in the site what is your first feel (do you want to click the X right away or you can spend some minutes click here and there ) ? The site have that colors to bring " fresh mood " to visitors.

I would incorporate a more obvious search bar to help with navigation. Your articles look good, very dense reading, but that is the material I guess. Your ad placement is interesting...and the green...meh, it looks ok. Thanks for sharing.

You should set up your phpBB forum properly and build your community.

What Wolfovich said, you need to improve your forum a bit, the articles look good, I haven't read all of them (oh God no) but they are understandable. Add a search function, that is crucial, if it is not on the front page and people can't find it they won't spend their time going through all the articles just to find what they are looking for.

Hey, just thought I'd give you my 3 cents.

First of all, it's a good website. If I were to complain about something, I'd say that the category names are somewhat vague for my taste - Health information, Health news, Health tips - none of these gives me any kind of idea of what to expect inside. I would suggest you introduce some more clear distinction between them or a short line of description about each one of them (might cause text cramming though).

As for the articles, they look ok. I'd say the actual column width could be a little more (I find the text column too narrow as is, any ads displayed on the side might be distracting/annoying for readers). I would also prefer to have some easier way to navigate and pick articles because these are pretty in-depth and few people would just pick any one of them based on chronological order. Might just be me though.

Anyway, the website looks good but might still use some polish. Bear in mind that most reputable encyclopedias (free ones) do not include too many visible ads that get in the way of their readers and it might be a downside unless you're very careful with your ad selection.

I would move privacy policy and terms & conditions to the footer it just looks out of place up there. Slide contact all the way to the right and i think your good to go i like the layout and nothing else jumps out at me. Good Job!

Site looks great. I like the content as well, I just read an entire article on how to keep someone's brain alive during an emergency. Pretty well written.

As stated by Wiz, you really need to add a "Welcome" message describing what your site/service offers. If it wasn't for your logo or your domain I'd have no clue what your site was offering so try to add a section on your home page above the fold describing what it is that you offer. Also, your page load time is really slow which you may want to work on.
