If you only have a handful of domains to host then the best bet is cheap shared individual hosting accounts or cloudflare.
SEO hosting is more of an option to consider if you want to host a large number of domains. Running 100+ separate hosting accounts is not really worth the hassle for me.
Regarding dollarseohosting, they did have a major issue recently where some of their clients (including me) were hacked. Since then they have hardened their server security and I have improved my wordpress security - I've had no problems since then....
The reason I continue with dollarseohosting to host some of my domains:
1. Price - It costs me $50/month to host 50 domains (with multiple A/B/C class IPs) rather than $250+/month with individual shared hosting. I am hosting a private blog network, these are not money sites and so really each individual domain is not super important to me.
2. Customer support - Earlier on when I was setting up my blog network I wanted advice on how to reduce footprints to a minimum - I sent quite a few support tickets and got some pretty solid advice from their tech support (Ken). That being said, I have seen posts from some other customers who had problems with their websites hacked. I hold the philosophy that "the customer is (nearly) always right" - so rather than blaming customers for not securing their website or having back-ups, the response should really only have been to acknowledge the problem with hosting security and to fix it.
Customer support to me was pretty good - they didn't blame me but rather endeavored to fix the problem from their end - but I was disappointed to see some other customers having those issues
3. Quality
Overall I'm pretty happy with the quality. A lot of people think that you can't get anything of value for $1 (really you're paying $1 per IP, but monthly subscription is $10+). I don't know if that's entirely true - businesses like this can prosper provided that they have a large number of customers. The hosting up time has been pretty good and all of the features are exactly as you would find with other hosting companies.
Really the main issue here was of server security - this is a major basic feature of any hosting company and is crucial to maintain if they want to continue successfully. It doesn't matter how cheap a hosting provider is, if security is flawed then it is no good.
So it's a risk I'm willing to continue taking - I've got better wp security and updraft backup for all of my domains. All of my data is backed up and can be restored or transferred as needed. I'm continuing because I personally was happy with the support I received and also pleased to see that they upgraded security from their end.
The only other time in the past I used cheap seo hosting was with ideastack - they were repeatedly hacked and customer support was lousy. Yes, you do get what you pay for, just make sure your eyes are wide open!
