I don't even market on Instagram BUT I am sure this thread will have many people saying it is far from dead.

Far from it. Just because its not easily spamable doesn't mean its dead. To many people on the platform. Think about Facebook, people have called it dead but its still moving, just different tactics.

I was trying Mobli for a little, not sure if I like it or not. Pretty much like Instagram, I found out about it bc on some tech blogs there were talking about how they were raising money for it so I checked it out for my company. I'm having trouble with my Instagram ever since they changed the algorithm the last time, I don't really have time to mess around with it, Instaget used to work great for me a few months ago

I never knew money could be made from Instagram (give me a chance though I'm a noob). What is the usual tactic? Having a bogus-botted account that floods random pictures and get a load of followers to just promote stuff?

I'm setting up a personal IG account when I get my new iPhone (out of my hard earned cash) so any method of making money on a free social network, that seems pretty fun to use, would interest me.

Instagram is definitely not dead. Neither is facebook, twitter or tumblr. You just need to know how to work it. Pinterest is my pick, if you are looking for something new.

There are too many methods to list here and its hard to type all that in a post. I use different methods for different scenarios. They all work well together if you tailor the campaign.

I'm still using Instagram as a method of making money. Create yourself a niche photo page (ex: tattoo pictures) and promote/charge upcoming tattoo artists to showcase their work! You could also promote tattoo products, such as healing cream etc. I'm currently doing this, works like a charm Although the algorithm did become more of a pain in my a**... I used the like script found on this forum and a few of my accounts have gotten blocked from liking for 24hrs due to the script.
