I checked around and I see they are offering this and a 35% off offer for their larger web hosting packages - found that deal over on wht.

I have used them in the past, never had an issue and they are not owned by the same group who just bought HostGator, so thats a plus.

EDIT - it appears they have just added another 200 uses to the promotional code.

You mean that they aren't owned by EIG? I would think that is a pretty big plus considering all the crap that has been going on with hostgator lately.

Bought a year just to test their hosting speeds and stuff, if it's good I might buy a couple more packages to help build up my private blog network..

Yeh you can only have one domain on the basic package, but guessing if you need to host more than one you can upgrade or just buy one of the larger packages with the other discount I linked to

Yes it is! I have picked up an account with Arvixe as well, never used them, fingers crossed.
