Surely this depends on WHAT you want the traffic for. If you're trying a shortcut to make money then you shouldn't be so naive, if you're using it as part of an SEO campaign then non-converting traffic (good quality NC traffic) is perfect. It's cheap, does the job, can be drip fed and above all else is easy to get hold of!

I will add the caveat of quality though, not all traffic sources are created equal. Don't expect to get good SEO traffic for less than $20/1000 (some traffic sources are about $12 which still work fine though - not many of them these days!) .

No conversions will happen.
If you need traffic and you dont have time to wait for SEO , just buy CPC traffic or CPM ,
google is the best provider but unfortunatelly the most expensive.

Check out buxp.org they are providing decent quality traffic since 2008. if you are looking for traffic that generates sales you should opt for a ppc model (adwords, 7search,...)

Whatever you do don't buy from expressvisits, they can't keep their servers up for a full day so you'll waste money. Anyone who endorses them doesn't use them for damn sure.

Do not buy traffic it is 99.9 percent fake. It will just increase you alexa rank nothing else. You will not get any impressions either clicks on your ad banners or on your site.
I have experienced personally and have suffered huge loss that is why I am giving you advice not to buy traffic. work hard and generate traffic naturally

I will just say be very cautious with bought traffic, especially if you're pushing PPC Adwords. I learned the hard way when my 4-figure/month turnkey income came to a halt. Took me a while to recover
