How do so many people get banned?

if any body gets 9 infraction points then he will get banned .

A Warning Infraction carries no real points.

A full infraction equals 3 points. So if you get 3 full
infractions, that equals 9 points and an automatic ban.

For serious though the 2 fastest ways I have seen ...scratch that 3 fastest ways to get banned on BHW from what I have seen?

1)Share VIP material on another forum

2)Sell outside of BST

3)Rip off another BHW user.

Some mods seem to enforce odd rules really tightly. Most aren't here to be jerk offs. I'm arguably the biggest jerk on this forum and I only ever got a short ban.

Honestly in users signatures who were banned I wished it showed the exact reason. Personally we are all a community and we do business and discuss methods with different members and when I see them banned I am like uh oh hope they didn't do whatever they got banned for to me and I didn't catch it. Its a public forum and I wish the reasons were public as well.

Edit: I understand we don't make the rules neither do I expect them to change. This forum has been nothing but a wealth of knowledge to myself and many others. Lets keep going strong and quit complaining!

I actually like the idea of having the reason they were banned posted in some very obnoxious script. Perhaps if people had the rules beat into them they would be less likely to rip people here off and more people would be likely to buy? But maybe so many people being banned for scamming would convince others not to buy..

Scammers ruined the JV section.. they ruin everything!

This site puts lots of people on the path to learning or success. The only income they have is BST,JV, some PPC...etc. The hosting for the forum has to be at least $10,000 a year plus admins and redesigns to keep us looking fresh.

I doubt DiamondDamian makes a million a year off this site once he is done responding to lawsuits. Not saying the guy does anything he should get sued over but the sad fact is people sue website owners all the time for things the users do.

The quickest way to a ban I've seen is racist insults (especially against indians!)

I'm sure that on BHW you're getting banned for a reason - I never saw anybody that was banned without a justified reason and I saw as well users that were warned before and they just continued their practices so the following was the BAN.
I don't want to give examples because is against the TOS but for sure are 2-3 very "respectful" members that was just searching for BAN

For instance, we have in the past located members who were employed by Craigslist's legal retainer and were using their privileged position on the forum to gather evidence build cases against members engaged in CL autoposting.

Unless someone does something terribly bad, we issue an infraction.
If a member gets 3 infractions, they are automatically banned.

If a member conducts himself/herself in a rational, respectable
manner and as long as he/she follows the rules, they have no
reason to fear being banned.

most of bans are for shitlist threads opened against them
few get banned for duplicate account n other infractions

if you are not selling something on bhw or not sharing a trojan infected file you are not in fireline
if you are selling then follow rules if you break law it will break you

Most members that are banned outright are banned due to some sort of BST violation where they fail to meet their responsibility as a buyer/seller and deliberately try to scam other members. This isn't always apparent as it usually takes us a week or two to sort out the issues after they are brought to our attention.

to tell u the truth i never read tos of forums, well because they are common sense,
like not insulting mods/admins
don't insult people.
be helpfull
don't scam people.
it is very logical, and if any forums have illogical things in their tos. u don't have to be there.
lucky for us, our beloved bhw, have logical toses
and 1 more thing, don't fight over some posts, posted by haters, it is not worth it.
keep ur mind clean, and actually for example if some 1 insult me, i say thank u, and that ma friend, drive him mad.
be neat and be respectful and u wont get banned

IM is a lonely journey, it is great to be in here in forums, and talking to people and get helped and help people.
the fact is u need to do it all on ur own, cause none will tell u here a website that make 10k a day.
