I've never done this but 1/18 letters isn't a bad conversion, scale it up. Next time send out 100 letters, then you'd have 6 clients willing to pay you $500+ a month no bad

That's correct. And make sure you make them happy and satisfy with your service, so that you can turn those 6 clients into 60 clients (thru referrals), and this is highly possible. A lot of businesses started this way anyways.

Don't forget, you can even upsell your other services to the existing 6 as well. The sky is the limit.

Treat them like a friend, show them their issues and what you can do for them.
Since they were the ones who approached you, I believe they are pretty much SOLD anyways. They just want to get further details and how to proceed. That's all.

Great post! Keep up your momentum!
There's a great piece of advice that floats around a lot.
"Shoot then aim" You took action now it's all about fine tuning.

When you go to re-send out your letters create different versions.
Keep track of which version gets the most responses, then scale. Don't just scale for no reason.
If you don't measure where your success comes from then you can't repeat it.

Don't be afraid to hire someone to help you as soon as your able to either. Multiplying yourself helps out tremendously.

I have read about this method so many times that it's not even funny anymore. I should have splurged on a mailing when I had the extra funds a couple of months ago. Going forward, that is what I will do when given the opportunity. The only thing that I might do differently is send everything by Fedex or DHL. To be honest, I probably won't do that either. I think I might do a cold calling session to get a rough feel for my target market, and then do a mailer to those businesses that fit my qualification profile.

Went to the meeting today and it went very well. We talked for about 45 minutes, I answered all their questions but I did use "like" and I stuttered a bit. Overall I'd give myself an 7/10. They are shopping around but I will follow up Monday with a discount if they sign up by a certain date. I made a journey thread and I'd appreciate if you guys followed that.
