Thank you for your advice. I did the same, and it worked until the owners wife dissatisfaction with the unknown pulled the the Jenga piece out of my building. Regardless, it worked and thank you!

I would advise anyone here that has issues with ROR to use caution when selecting someone that says they can have things removed from that site. I understand that there are ways to "push" down the ROR results & I believe there are some established members here that have had some success in doing so, but it's not easy & it doesn't happen quickly either, so make sure you do your homework before dumping a bunch of money into trying to fight Ed (ROR Owner) because I can tell you he's NOT interested in whether you are innocent and the truth makes no difference either.
I have a client who has an excellent reputation & recently an idiot that worked for her was let go for valid reasons. He decided to post some immature & foolish BS on the ROR about her, and though it's rather juvenile, the posts show #2 under her name in SERPs.
After looking into what could be done, I decided to go straight to him, so I called his phone thinking some common sense/decency would possibly help....and if not I had authorization to pay him just to remove the silly post all together. I was authorized to offer him up to $10,000 to remove one small & clearly foolish post. He immediately got ugly, told me how he could track me, get me etc. but I remained calm and hoped he might find some decency. NOT a chance...he was mad that I had called, wondered how I obtained his unlisted number & no matter what I said he was a total ass. I didn't even get far with offering to pay-he wanted nothing to do with it, and continued his ranting. I have to say there's a part of me that wants to invest some time showing him what it's like, but he's truly pond scum and does have fairly sound legal rights to do so. Google loves his site because its full of text, has consistent viewers, original content and updated constantly.
I wish you well if ROR is a thorn in your side, but at the end of the day, anyone that truly evaluates you strictly from a post on ROR is silly

Guys, did anyone try to buy, let's say 100k or more links to ROR, decreasing it's authority in Google's eyes. Can this help to move a report from 1st page?

Since Ed Magedson is a dirtball, it is time to fight fire with fire. So here is my evil plan. Everybody in the internet who has a problem with rip off report should file a rip off report on some people very high up in the Internet. Such as CEO's of Commcast, Verizon, Tmobile, all the cellular and all of the Internet providers. And any ISP's you know of. If EVERYBODY files rip off reports continuously against all the major internet players, they will be eventually have enough of Ed and start blacklisting him. Go ahead and go after as many governors as you can. Go after your senators, but only go after people with ALOT of money and Internet or Political power.
Research all the court activity against Ed, and file rip off reports on the judges and folks who ruled in his favor.
Now, what should you say? Say things like " I am Jeff Bezos neighbor, and 3 weeks ago I gave him 10K for a deposit on a boat. I still don't have the boat and he is avoiding my calls. I know he doesn't need the cash. What the hell?" Create multiple email accounts.... lets get together and destroy this dirtball and make everyone join in the crusade!

Actually I want to share this because it really important to maintain online reputation of a business. Your business can be fallen down or you may lost your clients for a bad review of your business. If you have a negative report of your business at ripoffreport. Maybe that is in first page on Google searching result for your brand name. think how would be that effective for your business. you want to remove that but not able to do by link building or doing other seo. I am new so I can not PM on here yet but its 2k to get RR to take it down so if anyone can help me bury this BS extortionish from 10 years ago that I still have to answer to at least once a month that would be phenominal. Also interested in reversing things and using RR as a means of returning much owed indignities. Given its power guessing this is not unheard of and I can attest it makes one regret not giving the other whatever they wanted.

No, actually it's $2K just to "arbitrate" -- that won't even take it down.
In this day and age, the cost to your company of negative search results is usually SO much greater than the cost of just making people happy (or at least not angry). I think it sucks that unreasonable people have such a prominent platform, but the flip side is that a lot of companies are giving better customer service as a result.
