Fb know my location even i use private proxy ?

I use a private proxy to log on on my fb account, but why fb show me my real location ?

I think facebook uses GPS location or something along these lines. You can download a firefox plugin "Geolocater" to fake it.

Try using a VPN instead of a proxy. There are several ways for a server to know you are behind a proxy and it's apparent FB is using one of those methods.

If you are using an open proxy, they can easily tell where you from by getting your real IP address using simple php super global vars like:

HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR]

[HTTP_X_FORWARDED_SERVER]
