Okay, I guess the thanks button also should be removed now and what I think is the premium giveaway on bhw will not be available any more. I know some are happy with this act and also some members want to cry.

Can't say I ever had an issue with the rep system. Don't get caught up in idiotic affairs and you'll be fine. I got positive rep when I deserved it, and I got negative rep when I deserved it.

There was a little group of members who derived some kind of sadistic enjoyment
by going around and banging people with Neg Reps all day, and there was another
group who were +Repping each other for no good reason at all.

I am glad it's gone . . . It has been worthless for some time now.

Sure, may lose some traffic. But why does BHW need long-tail traffic/members from terms like "here's a funny picture I copied from Reddit"? Better off losing those page views and bringing the forum back to the good old days of money makers, not meme posters. Quality > Quantity all day long...

Think about what you just said . . . If Mods and Admins were the only members
who could +Rep and Neg Rep, we would soon be seeing threads where members
were complaining that the Staff is only giving this member or that member +Reps,
and "Why did I get Neg Repped by (staff member's name here)?" and so on.

Nah! . . . The hassles would still be there.
