I?ve read up on Youtube Search Rankings. There are differing views on how YT ranks the videos. But most assume it to be a combination of the following: Views, High Retention views, Geo-views, likes, comments, YT channel authority, social embeds/links, backlinks etc. Right? That?s my understanding though I?ve probably forgotten some things.
From my small experience with my own videos, I noticed that my videos reached page 1 for a few keywords but then slipped away, despite the views/HRviews/likes/comments [via Enhanceviews, U2bviews etc] increasing. Could it be that there is an algorithm linked to how many people actually click through from their YT search results? In other words, my video reached page 1, but YT then detected that people were not choosing my video to click on, or were only viewing it for a short time when they did. It would seem like a logical way for YT to filter out what the public wants or does not want from their search results.
Anyone ever heard of this or something similar? Is it worth experimenting with? Just wondering?.. I?m new to this. Please be gentle.
Cheers!
