Do you donate a part of your earnings to needy people?
Of course I do.
I don't have a fixed schedule of when I donate but I do donate whenever I see campaigns online. The most recent one being WaterAid.
After all, these people don't have access to basic necessities and here I am giving out methods to making money. It's only right that we donate at least something to charity. I feel good that I can donate and know that someone out there is going to get a huge benefit from it. Something little to us is the world to someone else.
Just wanted to came by and say thank you to Leith and what he is doing for the community lately, takes ages to write such detailed answers, and nothing is more valuable than time - so kudos to Leith
Appreciate it, yes, it's taking a lot of my time but again, this is saying thanks back to the community.
Hello Leith, thanks for contributing to the community in the best possible ways.
If you ever tried Ad$ense, I had also a topic question open but none seemed to have suggestions from their own experience, rather than some usual ones like: Very risky, 100% ban etc.
I was wondering, is there a possibility (does G allow) multiple addresses in the same bank acc for Europe... in the countries inside the European Union more specifically.
I know it could be risky, but is there a possibility for that, since I am not comfortable of letting other people have access to the money made from ads, rather I would like to keep the addresses to a trusted person's bank acc.
If that question is not worth answering, could you consider answering whether there is a Payoneer type of service for Europe, preferably Germany, Swiss etc. or something like EU general ?
Thanks a lot again, rep+ !
Sorry, I don't quite get your question. Could you rephrase it again and Il try answering it.

OP, I've already ranked this site in in USA and I would like to rank in other countries (FR) to be specific.
what would it be the best way to get it ranked? do I need new domain, content, backlinks etc?
Also, what do you think about "PPD" these days? IMO it looks like its getting saturated.
thanks for your time.
Hi,
If you make a new site, try and get the host registered in the place of where you want to rank. Other than that, my only advice would be to get geo specific links (such as .fr in your case) - that should do the trick.
I have not been doing much geo specific link building but generally all I do is buy the right host in the specific country and I then build my standard quality links and this does the job for me.
I left PPD a long time ago and I think it's right that you do too. There is still money you can make but in my opinion it's not good enough for the time you put in. There are far better things you can apply your time and skills into, so my advice > stay away from PPD.
This thread should be made a sticky
I hope you have the time to keep it going
Il try my best to keep going as long as I can. I am meeting - free until Monday so that should be a good few days for people to get their questions coming.
I'm a Dutch native. Interested in a JV for the Dutch Market?
At the moment Im not doing JV's, but thanks for the offer.
Very nice series of threads you've put together Leith.
My question: You get a new SEO client with a brand new website who wants to be "at the top of Google" for a relatively difficult keyword. What is your default stance, or what do you say you can and can't do?
If I know I can't do it, I usually say this upfront to them.
Usually, if its a new site and they want to rank to the top, I say fine, thats possible but dont expect a 1 month or a 2 month job. I make it very clear that there are no guarantees I am providing with the service and that the minimum time before you start to see any results would be 6 months (depending on the keyword of course).
I tell them that throughout their campaign with me they will see increased traffic, and definitely increased SERP movement, although I never guarantee the top positions. Too risky in this day and age.
I sometimes guarantee a certain position increase so for example.. it will increase by at least #50 or so. If its a new site, hard keyword, then Id put together a quick on page audit, show them what they need to improve and along with that Il put together a document with some of the competitor links, how much those links cost and the type of budget you are going to need to get to the top for the keyword they want.
Most people think SEO is an overnight thing, something that can be done in a few days. This is why I make it my priority to let people know that their SEO work will take time, and I usually tell them to stick for at least 3 months minimum to start seeing actual movement. 1 month is no way near enough time for good results.
If your client doesn't understand that and keeps demanding a short cut to 1 month success, send them to a spam BST (just kidding - but just don't take them on). I'd rather have a client who pays me less each month but understands the risks and basics of SEO than a client who pays me more and keeps annoying me every other day about why his rankings haven't budged.
In summary, a typical client deal goes something like this for me;
1) I speak to the client, get to know their URL, past SEO (if any) and the keywords they're after.
2) If the keywords are crap I suggest some to them. I then ask for their monthly budget.
3) Based on the keywords, age of site, competition etc, I give them a monthly quote. I do not do one time packages but I tell them that the monthly subscription can be cancelled whenever they want.
4) If they agree to the quote, I go over the terms and conditions of my service. This is stuff like link reporting, no ranking guarantees due to nature of SEO, etc etc. Usually, my clients understand this and respect it.
5) I talk them through some of the link building techniques we use but I do not divulge into too much detail.
6) I get them to sign a virtual contract so they know what they are signing up for and I take the payment.
7) Work begins and they get monthly reports of how much their ranking has changed from the previous month and I usually have a quick talk with them each month about whether they wish to continue and what we will do the next month. I also answer any questions they have.
8) Work is done for the next month. Usually, all my clients see some movement in the first month so that alone gets them to continue - but sometimes, you'll get people who can't continue. Just accept it and move on.
