A lot's happened recently, so an update is in order...

Teamed Up

I've recently teamed up with another Developer (Andy), There's
loads planned for the next few months - we've now got a few
interesting plugins (and more updates) coming out soon :)

WPI Blogging Strategies

The variety of people using Indexer is pretty impressive so far.
Everyone from super dark-grey autoblogging to shiny WH
review blogs are getting results so far (thanks for your emails btw).

There's often questions coming in like "will WPI work with X
blog strategy
". So I've put together a few different blogging
styles and how WPI helps you with each...
1. Whitehat Blogs

I'm sure you know that indexing and overall site
discoverability are very important. If you've (like most
blogs) got a few stubborn pages or posts that Google
won't Index - WPI will help.

The relevant posts feature will not only help with
indexation, but also user experience. Many clients have
said this is the most relevant 'relevant posts' feature
they've seen in any plugin.

Plus of course, you can see how well Google likes your
blog. This is key information you don't normally get an
insight into. How well you're indexed is something you
need to keep an eye on.

2. Autoblogs

The name of the game here is mass-content, you want as
many posts as possible in the Google index. Indexer's
being used on some HUGE blogs (100k+ posts) to great
effect
. In these cases it's critical to have a caching plugin
installed (I like WP Super Cache).

Because WPI is doing it's smart pinging for each post, you
really get covered in bots quickly. Just keep in mind all the
usual autoblogging techniques and don't overpost with a
new blog.

3. Coupon Blogs

Indexer will help get you indexed before anyone else, as
that's the name of the game. From the moment you post
Indexer will promote your posts with it's smart pinging,
along with the RSS feature.

By getting in the index first for a new product, you firstly
benefit from the Google "hot news" type filters and
get a nice bump
(especially when lots of people are
searching for the new product anyway).

Then WPI can use it's "Related Unindexed Posts" feature
to promote each WP post into the future for you.

4. Affiliate Blogs

For this you'll need numbers, as many targeted visitors as
you can - as quickly as you can. Before you can get
organic traffic you need to get indexed. Indexer speeds
this up so you can concentrate on your business rather
than worrying about indexing.

Plus the inter-post linking WPI does will help visitors to
browse more of your affiliate posts.

So I hope that helps give you an idea of how WPI's being used
with a few different blogging strategies :)

A very common question...
"What happens when all of your posts are indexed?"
This is a close contender for the most asked question. When your
indexation is at 100% (all posts, pages, authors, categories etc),
Indexer will constantly check your index-rate on a per-post basis.

So why do you want this?

Because Google updates it's algo multiple times a week now, on a
rolling basis. This is on top of the big super updates like Penguin
& Panda. With all these changes WPI shows you how well
Google actually likes your blog
- so you can take action if
things go south.

Also even if you're 100% indexed before getting Indexer, the
average re-crawl by Googlebot is 2-6 weeks. Quicker if you're
posting multiple times a week, but for 90%+ of blogs you're
simply not important enough to re-visit that often. Indexer will
boost this crawl rate in a big way - meaning that when you post
a new article, or change something, Google will add it to it's
cache sooner. So you can enjoy traffic sooner.

A crawled blog is a healthy blog :)

v1.2.0 - The next big update

I'm putting the finishing touches on the very last feature of
this update, so it'll be even more effective. I'll just leave you with
a sneak peak of the new campaigns system to get external (non-wp)
URLs indexed:

More news on this to follow shortly...

If you've got any questions about how Indexer could work for
you, just let me know.

I know most of you have been waiting for this, and I'm glad to say - it's here.

With the campaign tab, you can now help index ANY url:

  • Backlinks
  • Client url's
  • Non WP sites
  • Manage different lists as different campaigns
  • Full proxy support is now integrated

For a full breakdown of the update, head over to the Codex Plugins blog.

WPI is now $77.

*However*, as I realize there might be a few of you who just missed the previous price, I've setup a special coupon for you.

Click here to get WPI for $47 and use coupon code 'bhw47'. Now, this is a special offer for the time being, but I'm not saying it will be here next week. I haven't decided on the future policy for discounts here, so this is a test right now. So it's up to you to take it now if you'll need indexing in the future.

Other indexing services often charge a monthly fee for indexing a very limited number of url's - why pay this when you can do it yourself with half the effort?

So, what will you be getting with WP Indexer?

  • Campaign System

    n7yn.png

You can paste in a URL list from any other tool, and sit back while WPI does all the work for you. Enter ANY url for indexing, it's optimized to handle 10 million URLs

  • Bulk pinging

    28i.png

This special pinger blasts out 100's pings in just a few seconds to promote your blog

  • Relevant post tags

    xpv5.png

Generating high quality tags in a fraction of a second so you never miss a juicy keyword.

  • Homepage Links

    ldbx.png

Using 3309 links, whenever a new post is made WPI will grab you one of these links and ping it for you.

  • Authority Pingbacks

    51d3.png

WP sends this ping to other blogs (notifying them you've linked to them) the other authority blog may automatically link to YOUR blog.

  • RSS Pinging
    g9ly.png

Indexer will ping pages that change when you make a post the (categories and the post tags etc) really supercharging the bot activity on your blog.

  • Related Unindexed posts

    4s6.png

Google finds new links with each crawl of your site, making those 'impossible to index' pages indexed in no time.

  • Inject RSS Links

    wzmu.png

Link to an unindexed (but thematically related) post at the bottom of every RSS post - visitors will get related, useful content to read, and bots that scrape your RSS feed will help you get indexed.

  • Rotating Proxy Support

    5r0e.png

Very useful if you need to be more aggressive with index checking. Also if you're using the Campaigns system to get external thousands of URLs indexed, you'll want to throw a few proxies in here to speed things up.

So to get your copy use discount code

Any Questions - I'm happy to answer :)

I've been asked quite a few times to implement plans, so looking at the stats - I've found 3 different user groups: bloggers, affiliates and businesses. So I created a plan that best fits each group. This change means that you can get Indexer at a level that will work best for you. If you need to upgrade at any point - you can shoot me an email and we'll sort it out.

There's now different plans for WP Indexer.
(just updating the salespage now)

You can now get WP Indexer from $27 - here's the plans:

Blogger - $27

Blogs: 3

This is for bloggers that want to monitor and index the posts and pages on their blogs.

Affiliate - $47

Blogs: 100

You'll also get the external url feature with the Affiliate plan.

Business - $97

Blogs: Unlimited

Here you get all the features and you can install it on as many of your blogs as you want.

As a special offer - you can get 10% off any plan with coupon code "BHW"

Any questions - happy to answer :)

1) Sorry the $47 price is gone now. You can start with a lower plan then upgrade later is you like. 2) Not automatically (as you might not want some of these re-promoted), but if you set the post to draft, then back to published WPI will pick it up.

There was a little issue with the salespage here on BHW, but it's all been cleared up :) There have been a few people that have forgotton to enter their coupon code - so remember to enter 'BHW' to get 10% off.

We're in the middle of creating some guides focussed around indexing and monetizing - in the meantime there's the WP Indexer guide (free) :
WP Indexer fast-indexing Guide

That shows best use cases and how to set it up for your blog. (although you can just install and turn on as it's set with common settings out-the-box)

We're also still looking for feedback on what you'd like to see in the next update of WP Indexer - so if you've got any ideas - you can vote and add your own here:
http://support.codexplugins.com/forums/202543-wp-indexer/filters/top

If anyone's got any questions - please ask.

Cheers,
Sam

I've had a few support requests asking for tips on how to help more of a site to get indexed so I thought I'd go over it a bit here.

One of the best ways to increase the indexation (and ranking) of sites (besides the actual content quality) is consistency. If you're posting consistently then every time Google comes back to your site it finds something new which will increase the crawl rate for your blog.

So if you've got to do one thing I'd say post consistently (you can even stack up the posts and schedule them). If you're posting regularly and still want a boost - turn on the related posts feature of WPI and you'll see indexation rise again.

Also the best thing about WPI is that it does most of the heavy lifting when you make a post (pinging all the url's and getting some stat links etc). So when using WPI, it's really important that you post somewhat regularly to get the full benefit of the increased indexation

Here's some more explanation of indexation (there's the guide as well):
