Why do we need to work so hard on link building when Google is clamping down on blackhat methods? I mean why don't we focus on sending blackhat backlinks to our competitors and get them into trouble with Google. Isn't this a simpler way to get your site ranked since we know about more stuffs that do not work than stuffs than do work. Anyone have any thoughts on this to share?

That's called Negative SEO and it's performed than you think. It's also 100% legal, safe and recommended because that's how you do business!
Well, it maybe more work but at least we know what to focus upon since we know what do not work. Right? If poor quality sape links are getting your site into trouble, why not send these sape links to your competitors using the exact same keywords that you intend to rank for your site?

Chill my friend. I started this track to gather thoughts about this so call negative SEO. The rationale is that since we know what do not work more than what work, why don't we throw these method that do not work on to competitors and get them into trouble and confuses Google? Since Google cannot be de-indexing every site right?

A. a good site will withstand a neg SEO attack. The reason you get hammered when yo do it to your site is because it gets traced back to you.
B. Your site will not rank simply because you sabotage the ones that do rank. You still have to actually work on your site.

That is precisely the point. What can we do to protect ourselves? All Google does now is to clamp down on blackhat link building techniques. So what if someone begin to turn the table and use the exact tools that Google is clamping down to attack their competitors?

B. If your competitors ranking are dropping, will it not move your rank up higher assuming that your score with Google maintains and your competitors score is dropping?
