Hey Guys,

I have a very hot topic to discuss today. I want to get thoughts of SEO Professionals about Web2.0s.

Are Web2.0s still good for Tier 1 linkbuilding?

I have done lots of experiments and have found different results. So i want to know some more about perfect usage of Web2.0s in the tough SEO era.

Cheers,

Faheem

It depends on the content's quality you post, the anchor text diversification, the backlinks' quality, quantity and profile linked to these sites
and also on several other factors.

Of course it does u just have to power them up with a decent amount of juice. The whole reason for using web 2.0 is that they act as a juice conductor..

Think of it like an astronaughts filtering system: they filter out all the urine and produce standardised h2o. Like a tap u can switch it off anytime u like. Instead of having to turn off 5,000,000 taps u only have to switch of 100. That is why web 2.0 works ;)

Yes i agree Web2.0 works better but up to some stages. Like i have mostly used web2.0s for a amazon review site. I was able to rank pretty good KWs in top 10 or even top 6. But now its been stick on 6th position with 8k searches KW. I am not sure how to push the website more to get at least top 3.

Any suggestions for it. I have mostly used 3 Tiers all tiers blasted away with GSA diversified links like, articles, comments, guest posts, directories, social bookmarks, social blogs, wikies. Can anyone suggest some thing better?

Do you used unique content for each web 2.0?, link diversity, anchor diversity, long tails and social signals from old/aged/real accounts will help you to get rank higher.

It depends on the quality of ur web 2.0 link structure. If u haven't already add a few social shares/likes. Get some high pr blog posts from decent aged domains. It might cost ,but it will give u that final inch.

U need to analyse ur roi before going out spending dollar on the hr pr links.

Yes i mostly use Kontent Machine generated content for all web2.0 and ad an image/video in each article.

IMO problem is, i just have tried to rank only high competition KWs, i haven't tried with longtail and less competitive KWs. Do you think it will help?

For link diversity > I thoughts different changes in URL like, "mywebsite.com MyWebsite.com http://mywebsite.com, MyWebsite.com/
For anchor diversity > I thought using different anchors like, generic, main KW, Naked URL etc..

Yeah website is making almost $400 P/M with its current ranking, though none of KW in is top 5.

Web 2.0 is one of best practices in SEO. Specially if u use unique content, hand made profile and 1+ post per blog.

More briefly, website have currently 60% bounce rate with its previous month status.

@wordup i want to take this website to top 3 for some KWs, then you can imagine how much my website can make per month.

Yes it does, keep building those Web 2.0 blogs with unique content and power them up with Tier 2. You will definitely see the success within few weeks. Get some social votes as well.

For social votes, website currently have 4 tweets, 200+ FB share and 4 Google +1

For natural work should i get social signal for every page, like 2-3 social signals for every page on daily basis?
