oh guys its a wonderful job.
i opened it many time. its really so good.

OK, got 4 profiles/projects running. Seeing some increases in traffic and maybe some SERP increases but really too early to say as SERPs move a good bit day to day.

The first 2 projects ran out of Keywords so I checked the "Search Keywords" list in each project to confirm what keywords NHSEO had decided to use. One 1 project, I can see NHSEO did pick relevant keywords related to the original ones. But on the 2nd project, the keywords are not at all related and seem to be peoples names starting and ending in "A" instead of niche related keywords. This project is the one that I added keywords to the original list through the profile wizard. Also not sure what the Extended flag of Y or N means. How do I get this project to search start searching for keywords within my niche? Should I delete the keywords and load some fresh ones or add more to what is already there?

I downloaded GSA Captcha Breaker free 5 day trial to see if it will help get more posts. But it seems to be giving a lot of "unkown engine skipped by settings" error messages. Is there certain settings that work best for NHSEO?

I think I will setup the next 2 profiles with more conservative settings to try and go for just higher quality links like Cody did, so I figured a Captcha software will be a good purchase but I saw a lot of people complaining about Captcha Sniper hanging up and not doing as good of a job as Captcha Breaker but they were not using NHSEO in their reviews.

Also, is this the proper place to keep asking my questions? Should I be posting these in your forum?

Thanks again for all your replies. So far everything is working great, now just need to wait for the SERP results.

Its fine for you to ask questions in here.

The related search keywords are taken directly from a number of different sources including Google. You can add and remove keywords directly from the Search Keywords tab of the Profile Handler, just make sure to save the changes after they have been made. When a keyword has a Y in the Extended column it means that it has been used for finding relevant keywords, if it has a N then it hasn't. It is also very easy to change the state of this via the Search Keywords tab.

If you remove every keyword in the list and save the profile it should add all of the keywords from the initial search keywords list that is entered for the profile, this will however re-search any previously searched keywords. You can add more but if your install is getting through that many keywords so quickly I would be inclined to say that you are running with bad proxies or very high searching thread settings with few or bad proxies, not a certainty but it would be my guess.

I have no idea why GSA captcha breaker is not attempting to solve captchas, it could well just be that the captchas aren't recognised and as such cannot be solved by it, as far as NHSEO and GSA CB goes all you need to do is set GSA CB as your desired captcha solver and have GSA CB running, it should handle the rest.

I have never had many issues with Captcha Sniper at all, I wouldn't go as far as to say it is superior to GSA CB but in my tests it certainly has not performed worse by any metric that I could see. I must admit however that my testing has mainly been done on CS X3 where I believe CS X4 is the most recent version and I haven't used GSA CB in the last couple of months (though I doubt a whole lot has changed with it). Either GSA CB or CS should perform at least similarly and there will always be the occasional captchas that cannot be solved by one or both of them.

Hey Jim,

Your software looks good and well...hands off :D
A couple of questions:

1. How do NHS platforms compare to sick agent (http://faq.sickagent.com/what-types-of-links-does-sick-agent-build/)? Somewhere here on BHW i saw a few people comment that sick agent had more platforms out of the box but reading a few pages from your thread here, seems like NHS is actually the one having more platforms. Is that the case? Will you be adding more platforms in the future?

2. Regarding platforms, what kind of platforms does NHS actually have? blogs, whois sites, guestbooks...what else?

3. For a good success rate, there is probably no way around private proxies and a paid captcha breaking service? Any suggestions where to get private proxies cheaply? Do shared ones work just as well? Also, 1 proxy per NHS thread or how do I know how many proxies are needed?

4. I see a NH Pinger and NH indexer are mentioned in the thread. Are these separate pieces of software or are they modules of NHS? If the latter, do they require some 3rd party services like linklicious etc. or do they have their own method of indexing the links created by NHS?

5. I know this one is up for a lot of debate but...any thoughts on the longevity of just building tons of comment links? I'm glad to see it already has "quality parameters" (limit to OBL, PR) but in the end, it's all just comment links (from my understanding, maybe it does more).

Oh and great to see you've added the tiered linking functionality...That was a strength sick agent had imo but NHS finally has it, too. Great job on the constant updates, makes me comfortable buying.

On that note...any other "big" updates (like the tiered linking one) planned for NHS?

Thanks,
Alex

So even though a keyword hasn't been chosen to be used for Extended searching, I can changed the column to Y and then at that point NHSEO will start using it for Extended searching?

Every keyword can be removed from the list by 1) By deleting all the keywords from the Keywords box on the Profile Details tab and saving a blank Keywords box or 2) Going to the Search Keywords tab and removing each one from there? What I did last night was remove the keywords with names in the Search Keywords tab and chose (right clicked on profile) the Re-scan option to Re-search Keyword for Targets. I checked the Search Keywords tab and I can see there are only 15 keywords with Y in the Searched column. I wasn't sure what the "Reset Keyword Search" option meant, but the fact it had a double check question of "Are you sure" prevented me from choosing that option.

I bought 50 private proxies from BuyProxies the day I setup NHSEO. From the training I thought the proper setting was 5 proxies to 1 search thread, so I set it to 10 search threads. I tested my proxies when I first installed 5 days ago. I just re-checked the proxies using NHSEO proxy checker and got the following results with Google varying from 25 - 34 in 4 proxy tests. The interesting part is when I check for PR Availability it shows 47 out of 50 which is in contrast to the Google check.

Checked: 50
Working: 47
Anon: 47
Google: 25 - 34
Yahoo: 47

I also have the posting threads at 180 based on the test I ran. So did I burn up some of my proxies by having a too aggressive setup? My proxies will never make it through the month at this rate. First time running SEO software, so do I need to buy more proxies at this point and/or stop using the ones that won't pass the Google check? Will they become active again after some time of not using them? Maybe the ratio needs to be 8 to 1 or something more conservative. At this point, I have only added 4 projects/profiles, but I plan on adding at least 10 as soon as I feel I have the tool working/fine tuned as it should be. The other sites have more sensitive clients and are new so I haven't had any links built for them yet and the last thing I want to do is get them started on the wrong foot. Maybe for 10 projects with 10 search threads I am going to need 100 proxies and not 50? Would reduciing the number of posting threads slow things down so the proxies last longer?

I think a big part of the problem with the keywords for the one profile (the first one I setup) was that I was qualifying all the keywords with a city. In hind sight after becoming more familiar with the tool, that is what probably caused the tool to exhaust the list so fast. So I probably have 2 causative reasons 1) keywords that are too specific and causing poor search results and 2) an overly aggressive setting of 10 search threads for 50 private proxies. At this point I am going to reduce the search threads to 4 and remove the proxies that are not working for Google until advised otherwise.

Not sure what was wrong with Captcha Breaker, but when I closed it down and restarted it, it then started solving some captcha's again. Right now it says 68/100 recognized at 68% and I can see in the display window, the captcha's that are being solved. I guess I will just have to keep a mental note on the "recognized" numbers, and if they become stagnant again I will just have to restart the software.

Never a dull moment!

After a little researching, sounds like the Google IP ban should only be temporary. I removed 23 proxies and am now running at 4 search threads, 40 posting threads with 27 proxies. I will test the 23 proxies I removed, again tomorrow to see if ban has been lifted.

From what I know about Sick (which isn't much) it isn't at all like NHSEO, I don't know much about how it works but I do know that No Hands SEO is the easiest and most automated backlinking tool there is. NHSEO supports 56 different platforms including Blog Comments, Indexing links, Image Galleries, Trackbacks, Guestbooks and Forums and more are being added regularly.

I would suggest 5 proxies per searching thread but your mileage may vary and I haven't pushed this limit for quite some time. I have never used shared proxies so I cannot say that they will or won't be usable, I do know that I wouldn't trust anyone else to not abuse proxies that I am also using so it would very much be a lottery. If another user of shared proxies was using them for scraping they could become useless very quickly. Number of proxies you have is largely irrelevant for the amount of proxies you need, it is really just limited by the searching threads.

No Hands SEO has been out for well over 2 years at this point, I have profiles that I am still building links (first tier) with from over a year ago now and have yet to see a single site slapped that has had any NHSEO links built. The only thing I can put this down to is by using lots and lots of variation for all anchor texts and also generally in my comments as well.

As I stated previously NHSEO has been out for over 2 years now and has had regular updates, some minor and some large, I don't intend on stopping development any time soon so you can be sure there will be lots of updates for the foreseeable future.

If a keyword has a Y in the Extended column it means that it has already been used to find more keywords not that it can be used, it means that it will not be used again as there would be no point. If you opt to re-search your keywords then it will do exactly that re-search your already searched keywords, this will mean that NHSEO is finding the same targets it has already posted to and as such will not even attempt posting to them which will result in 0 links. Only ever re-search keywords if you have been running with bad proxies.

If you clear the search keywords list and then remove all keywords and save the profile the next time it is run NHSEO will start searching with trending keywords, this is not advised unless you are sure that is what you want to do. You would be better off simply removing the keywords you don't want to search for and then add more that you do want to search with. That way you won't end up re-searching any keywords down the line.

In the proxy tab there is an option to "Check Proxies Every X Mins", you should use this and No Hands SEO will automatically check the proxies at the set interval and will only use the working proxies, it doesn't remove them from your list entirely so it will keep checking that they work and just using the working ones. Posting thread count is pretty irrelevant to the amount of proxies you are running generally, but if you are checking for PR then I would suggest you drop it down to a much lower figure as this also uses the proxies. 50 posting threads with 10 searching threads should be fine, eventually you will be bottlenecked by the searching threads anyway.

You don't have to increase or decrease number of threads or proxies based on how many profiles you are running, they are independent of each other.

If you are unsure about how to setup your profiles effectively I would suggest you to take a look at the getting started thread in the support forum, ignore the beginning section but check out the profile setup section of it as it gives some good advice on search keywords and anchor texts. Another great resource is the How to setup a profile video tutorial, there are other video tutorials for No Hands SEO on the support forum also.

Google limiting proxies is usually temporary, this is why proxies are never fully removed when using the auto proxy checker, I think the block can last for minutes to a couple of days. The auto proxy checker is your friend, it is a very helpful tool.

OK, so if tool decided to skip using keyword for extended search (indicator is 'n' and trending keywords have started) there is no way to force it to do so.

The check proxies every X mins. is a big time saver. Thanks a lot for this information!

Watched the videos a few times. No mention how to handle Local SEO clients and if one should try and use City modifiers for keyword terms. How much of a risk is there if I left off the city and post to the same blog for multiple clients that are on the same shared hosting account for the same niche (I have 3 fencing clients, etc..)? Probably don't want to do that too much. I suppose it is what it is. I suppose I can move the websites or try and partition up the keywords among them. The clients will sometimes have their own hosting but sometimes not.

I really just have one more question, I noticed that some websites are being skipped for bad words, yet I haven't specified any. Are there built in default bad words that the tool always skips?

I feel comfortable now to start setting up my other projects.

Thanks

All I get in my log is (9/20/2013 8:12 PM | save output errorIndex was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.Parameter name: index) What does this mean?

I think you are misunderstanding about the keyword extended thing. If it says n in the column it means it hasn't yet been extended a.k.a it has not yet been used to find relevant keywords but will when it needs to. You don't need to force it to do so, it will only look for relevant keywords when it needs to.

I'm pretty sure in the video and in the written thread I posted I explain about using relevant yet as vague as possible keywords to ensure you get as many relevant targets as possible, this goes for anything really and I wouldn't ever really limit myself to a specific area (or set of areas) for my websites. Obviously your case is slightly more complicated as you have different clients in the same niche who are probably competing for some of the same keywords, I wouldn't know what to suggest there as that is more of a business/SEO thing rather than a best practice for running NHSEO.

The bad words list is in the Settings=> Add and Block Lists tab, you can see the words that are blocked. In the default list the only blocks are on the URLs of targets and this is to prevent pointless posting to sites that will either never accept your posts or will accept a few and then delete all past posts. Either way there is little point in even wasting the time it takes to post to them, you can remove sites from this list if you want but I wouldn't expect it to improve results in any way.

All I get in my log is (9/20/2013 8:12 PM | save output errorIndex was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.Parameter name: index) What does this mean?

This would suggest that the software has been forcibly shut down while it was writing to the database. The error only happens when the database becomes malformed and this will only ever happen due to a bad write which would suggest it has been shut down by force closing it in task manager or not closing it before shutting down/restarting Windows.

In most case this means that you will have to start with a blank database as it is very uncommon to be able to fix a DB once it has become malformed. This is why NHSEO can take some seconds to close, because it is ensuring that all threads are finished and the DB has no more queued write jobs that could destroy the database structure.

You can try restarting your machine (unlikely to work) and if it still gives the error you could zip up the DB and email/PM me the link to it and I will attempt to fix it for you but I am not promising that it will definitely work but I am willing to give it a go for you. The other alternative is to download the blank database file from the members area and copy it to the "My Documents\No Hands SEO" folder, this will lose all of your settings and profiles and you will have to start from scratch.

Hey Jimbo,

I got another 3 questions for you

1. In the profile Wizard are 2 places for Tier 2 backlinking if I get it right. One is bottom left in the Link Settings Tab and another one is in the More Link Settings Tab. What's the difference between those two (and if they are the same, which one do I have to set up?)?

2. I'm currently using the Tiered Links option and just left those setting on default (Min PR and Max Outbound Links fields are not active), while my main profiles are set to PR3+. I now wonder why I got about 3 times more Tier 1 links (to my Site) than Tier 2 links (to T1 links). Do I have to set something else up there?

3. How often does NHS upate the Linklists of tier links? After running for about 4 days, there are about 250 confirmed links to my site but the tier linking only states 21 pages (shouldn't it take all the ~250 pages of the confirmed links?).

Alright thanks I just downloaded a blank database. For the captcha settings if captcha sniper fails and get's it wrong does it automatically sent it to image typerz?

1) You should update to the latest version, this was sorted a few updates back.
2) There was a bug, it was fixed a few updates back
3) Same as #2. The linking pages are added to a tier project very shortly after the link is confirmed on the page, it should normally be a matter of seconds.

It will pass the captcha on to your second choice if it is unable to solve the captcha.

Jim,

I am getting this message. Can you help?

Parameter name: index

Hey, I'm not Jim but the same question was asked further up the thread.
Here's Jim's reply:

This would suggest that the software has been forcibly shut down while it was writing to the database. The error only happens when the database becomes malformed and this will only ever happen due to a bad write which would suggest it has been shut down by force closing it in task manager or not closing it before shutting down/restarting Windows.

Jim,

are NH Pinger and Indexer included in the purchase or are these separate tools that need to be purchased? In your support forum you posted "...free download for a short period..." - still available?

Also, what exactly does the indexer do differently from the pinger? All I get out of your support forum posts is that it is somehow more effective.

Lastly, I'm not really sure about how NHS would work for promoting a minisite (5 pages each trying to rank for a specific anchor text). I would check "promote whole website" but in the pages field I'd enter the specific pages + anchors for the particular pages? So in the end, the pages I'm trying to rank would all get their specific anchor text, while the remaining crawled pages of the domain (about us, contact, privacy policy and pages like that not intended for ranking) would get a bunch of spun anchor text set in the anchor text field above the field for specific page addresses?

If I'm correct with the above, would the pages with their specific anchor text still get some generic anchor text variations as well (hopefully) or would they really only get the anchors specified in that "page address(es)" field?

Appreciate your replies.

Thanks,
Alex

Cheers for answering the previous question.

No Hands Pinger is free for anyone directly from the website and No Hands Indexer is just $20 on the website (or $10 from here).

The pinger pings pages that are sent to it (or input by the user) to all of the common pinging sites which will often get the content in their indexes updates much quicker than if they hadn't been but the indexer will generate hundreds of backlinks to your backlinks to get them indexed much quicker. The backlinks made by the indexer may also help to improve the amount of link juice your backlinks pass on to your site.

What you said about your inner pages is correct, any pages that have a specific set of anchor texts will use that page specific anchor text whereas any others will use the default ones set in the profile when adding it. Generic anchor settings are used for all pages whether they have specific anchor texts or if they are using the profile anchors.

is NHSEO working on mac?if not, this can be made to work on mac ?(extra cost not a problem if needed )

Hi

I am interested in giving it a test run, been getting annoyed with scrapebox crashing in the middle of tasks and looking for alternatives for posting comments and trackbacks. Not sure if I missed this but what kind of reporting does it offer on backlinks built? and is there a way to check if the links that it submitted are live/ verified?

Thanks

Does anyone have actually pictures of their rankings actually rising?
