Been selling on ebay since 1995 and never ever got a chargeback from a credit card through paypal in all those years. Just got one today from a lousy buyer who did not even have the courtesy to send me a message if they had an issue.
Any of you have this issue? How did you handle it? Is this buyer trying to get the keep the item for nothing and get her money back too?

How do I change my paypal to not accept any credit card as payment and to make it come from a checking account or paypal balance only.

Thank you!

Chargeback? do you have proof of his purchase and proof that you actually delivers the item?

Did you ship the item? If so you can provide a tracking id and Paypal can verify the delivery at which point I don't think the buyer can do much about that.

Honestly the best thing you can do right now is pick up the phone and call Paypal, there's not much we can do here for you.

Just provide as much evidence as possible, take pictures of the shipping receipt, shipping ID, or any other type of proof. Good luck :)

even if the source of the payment is not from a credit card, they can still attempt to do a chargeback through paypal funds. afaik, you can't stop someone from paying you through a card either way.

I think has open dispute in paypal not chargeback..he can do charge back only when he approach his credit card company to chargeback against the paypal..

If it is a physical item you need to show proof of delivery. If it is a virtual item it is not covered under paypal's policy however if the buyer used a creditcard they can contact the card company and will receive their funds back.

Incorrect. I know what a dispute is.

This was a credit card chargeback. The reason, unauthorized user used a persons credit card to pay me for the auction they won. I have tracking and gave it to paypal. I do not send any package without tracking.

Either the ebay buyer stole someones credit card info or they used a family members card with out asking or they are out to scam thinking they are getting it for nothing.

Yes, there is a way to specify that you only accept payment only from paypal funds and not any credit card can be used but I do not know how to do it.
Maybe someone here does.

Just Provide as much as information you have of delivery. I already won one dispute in my favor it was electronic delivery i did but i provided them all correct and full information including. email screenshots, paypal screenshots, our chat history between me and my client. also he filled dispute after 45 days of delivery which helped me a lot to won so iif ur buyer filled dispute after 45 days and u have strong proof for delivery then u will win it, chances are 80% to your side.
p.s- my dispute was of $1300 which i won.

I'm sorry to hear that. The best way would be to contact them. You can request a call from them, and they do call you pretty quick this days.

Had an issue with a bank account and got solved fast, so I'd try this way. Good luck!

You have a long history, hopefully Paypal should help you. As others said you need to show proof of delivery. Best of luck.

this might be not so straightforward.
if you can prove the delivery of the item got to the eBay account holder who made the purchase and is now making the chargeback, then you can probably win.
the principal they use is that the buyer should receive the goods and the seller should receive the money.
