Cops Shoot Dead 107 Year Old Monroe Isadore

Its the old mans fault. He should've retreated and laid down so the cops could arrest. By shooting he turned what could've been a simple arrest and slap on the hand, into a war that caused his death. RIP

Half of you guys would side against the police officer, no matter the situation. Hating the "pig" seems to be the current fad, regardless of the fact they're risking their lives on a daily basis. Are there bad ones? Absolutely. It's that way in every career field. I like the "committing a mistake" comment. Really? I lol'd. The guy was putting other lives in danger. It's easy to analyze when you know nothing about the old man and his history. Did he suffer from Alzheimer or Dementia? Did he live in a bad neighborhood and had a history of break-ins? Could he hear or see the Officers? Was he in a wheelchair? Could he walk? Maybe he was mostly deaf and blind at his age. He was firing through a closed door according to the story which means he might not have known there were Officers out there. He might have thought he was protecting his home and in a fight for his life in his feeble mind.

Have you ever spent time around people in their 90s? The life cycle of humans is you start as a baby (needing someone to provide everything for you), mature to an adult and in your later years (if you live that long) is you return to the mentality and needs of a newborn.

The Officers should have, in fact, known they were dealing with the mentality of a child and acted as such. They could have waited this old guy out rather than escalating it quickly without knowing the full capacity of the person they were dealing with. One thing for sure, the 106 year old wasn't a threat to Society in his home and if the Officers had any sense and a bit of patience the old guy would most likely still be alive.

OMG, give the Officers risking their lives on a daily basis a fucking break. Officers are mostly report takers and citation writers. Rarely and I mean very rarely are their lives ever in danger. Here is some real information if you care to educate yourself about the risks of being a Police Officers. Average Citizen risk of homicide: 0.0054%. Police Officer's risk of homicide: 0.0058%

They had probable cause to enter the premise legally, your consent doesn't mean shit at that point.

You have to be kidding me. Every time a police officer approaches a deadly situation, on purpose I might add, he risks losing his life. An officer here was shot to death, along with his dog, because he was far too lenient in a situation. Great guy, my kids loved him, but he would more than likely be alive right now if he would have been a bit quicker to use his weapon. You should be ashamed of yourself. I bet if really needed them, you wouldn't hesitate to call.

Point was age doesn't matter with guns, the shooter can kill you. Also, I learned a long time ago not to get in confrontations with men who are allowed by law to carry guns and use them if provoked. Yep, I got into argument with a guard once and had four squad cars surround me within five minutes. I was nineteen at the time and I was lucky just to get a summons so I learned my lesson. If you are a 107 you should have learned that lesson as well but then again he could have been suffering from senile dementia.

The old man sounds like he lost his marbles. Its common for seniors to lose their marbles as age sets in. Sounds like he should have been in a nursing home or a home for the elderly.

IF any of his children are alive---they would also be Seniors---in their 70's and 80's. Wow....imagine that!

Born in 1906, survived a ton of shit this world has been through since that time. He would have been 27 when the Great Depression rocked this Country. He would have been 35 when Pearl Harbor was bombed entering the USA into WWII. It would be hard to imagine the changes he's seen in his lifetime, the knowledge and wisdom he would undoubtedly have.

With the number of non-lethal methods Officers have today you wonder why deadly force was used. I'm not accusing them if they were really protecting themselves but plenty of videos have proven an Officer's word isn't always correct.

The world lost a valuable source of history. I would have loved to have a beer with this guy before he passed. I imagine he had a ton of stories to share. History you'll never read in books.

Caught on Camera: Texas cop charged for beating the whole family because the son was speeding

A Texas officer has been caught on camera beating up several members of a family. According to KHOU.com, Harris County Deputy Jimmy Drummond followed the son home for allegedly speeding, then attacked members of his family when they approached him. The altercation was recorded on a dash cam.

According to KHOU, the officer, who's due in court on Friday, broke the son's ribs, bruised his father's face, and dragged his mother.
