using real websites as tier 1 instead of web 2.0s ?

Hi guys ,
do you think using some real PR 0 new websites as tier 1 can work ? Since i know most of people here recommend high pr web 2.0s .
Any thoughts ?

Yes, they can work. There is more than just PR that brings value to a website:

- content
- social signals
- user engagement

All of these bring value to the domain and the domains it links to.

ofc i'm going to do backlinks to those tiers 1 websites and have content on them . I guess i'll give it try .

My point was that OnSite SEO matters on those sites as well. It's about the quality of the content that would pass manual review that counts.

What you are doing then is basically creating a blog network whether you realize it or not. Try to use different ip's for the sites. I've never tested it personally but nearly everyone preaches it

Yes, they are fine.
IMO they will be more powerful than web 2.0s because google is aware how these sites are used for backlink purposes. A website with a tld domain appear to have more value than a free web 2.0 site where everyone can create a site or page. I believe that google is of the same opinion. They are not stupid.

But they are more expensive. You need to consider the price of the domains and histing as well. You will need different ips

make sure the PR 0 sites have good content because that might affect your website as well.

I would do a mix of real websites hosted on different servers and Web 2.0s. Then if you want those sites to bring even more juice to your main site build Tier 2 links to the Web 2.0s

That's what I do, although not with only PR0 sites. The easy targets are, well, easy targets. Pretty much anyone can get the Web 2.0 links and it's not too difficult to scale that up either.

Getting links that are exclusive to you is a great ploy. As BTB said, there's not just PR that matters: these sites bring in a lot more value in other ways.

I have been registering with fake profiles for the domains and use private. I also register them for 2 years since as a way to make them look more believable. Not sure if that works, but dont see it hurting anything.

I also use different hosting companies - hostgator, knownhost, hawkhost, etc to host the sites. I do not monetize these sites and always use different platforms, themes, templates, etc.

Not fool proof I am sure, but so far no issues
