It's just weird that both Google and Spyfu is showing different statistics, I don't think I can proceed with Spyfu's statistics.
Did you remember to tick [exact] in adwords?
Good luck!

I agree with you at this point because your website can rank well without link building. Just post new content every to days and see how it goes.
good luck op with the journey
Blue's thread has given me some motivation to make my own site. But instead of going for one main keyword that has like 10k searches, i'm going for 4-5 medium searches per month (1k-5k) and then 30+ keywords that are 250 searches-1.5k per month with low competition.
But I do wish you luck, and I think that with most authority sites if you don't give up and don't go out and buy mass back links you should eventually get a great site that makes money.

I was looking at the keywords, and it seems that Spyfu is using your local market, and google is using the global market.
Spyfu has a global market result as well, and when you look at that with the google result, they are the same. Well close enough.
So you have chosen two good keywords. Now just to rank on them. Push them keywords like mad lol. Have you thought about long tail keywords as well, they can sometimes be even more valuable than single keywords.
Good luck OP.
Goodluck mate! Hope you achieve more then what you want![]()
Day 2~![]()
I'm finally done with the whole keyword research process. I've extracted out my best keywords, which included some long-tails to include in the articles. I've also added another "seed keyword" or "category keyword" to vary the amount of article types I can produce, and cover a diverse range of topics as much as possible. With the Long tails, I can further boost my articles by including some of the "long-tail's" into the articles, so that I have a better chance of getting visitors to my site when they search for that specific "long-tail".
Oh yes, I spent the whole afternoon figuring out the market-samurai part, and I finally did it. Thus, I'm able to extract out the best long-tails & keywords.
How? Google's your best friend:

One tip for those who are on this method,
Remember to change the "filter" during the analyzing part of the keyword! I spent like 1 hour figuring out this when I got the same keywords every time I analyse different keywords, put it to "no-filter", for the best results IMO.
Website's on good track. Plugins are configured except for the "Google-Adsense type plugins", which I do not have an account yet. I will apply when my website hits >20 visitors!![]()
What to be done still:

My Plans:
Writing articles keeping main keyword density <3%~ (After I finished my long-tail keyword research)
Article on the "first-page" must be >1200 words, properly formatted
Articles on the "rest of the pages" must be > 500 words
Produce >4 articles every day -- At this rate, I'm able to hit 80 in 20 days
Monitor site ranking / Performance, to determine any further actions to be taken to rank better
With this speed (I know its slow for some, but I'm newbie), I hope that I can finish my website tomorrow, and start writing articles after that. ~Fingers crossed~
Great journey, will be following.
How will you ensure to keep the 1200 word article on the front page? My site just pushes older articles to the back.
