[Adsense Case Study] Journey to $100/Day with Bluematter's Method [Newbie!]

1. To reach $100/day with several Adsense sites, with Bluematter's Method. I might add my own twist to his method though :)
2. To motivate myself to work on my Adsense sites during free time.
3. To motivate other newbies like me to take action! :)

I will give codenames to my sites for easy reference, as I may set up more Adsense sites in the future. However, it wouldn't happen likely around this time, as I'm testing the waters in the Adsense 'world'. This is my very first Adsense website I'm making, so do advice if I made any mistakes :)

* Got nothing at the moment, except for $100.

1. First time breaking into the Adsense 'world', hence NO ADSENSE ACCOUNT CURRENTLY. I need to make one ASAP, when I set up my site.

2. Outranking my competition in Top 10, some PR3's & a few PR1's & PR2's

3. Top 10 include some Youtube videos, need to think of a way to outrank those :L

4. Tight Budget of $100, will purchase hosting and domain tomorrow, will spend about $40 on this.

Spent the whole afternoon on researching my niche (4 hours), the stats may suck a little, but I will try my best to rank "Black Tea", hope all goes well. Any suggestions, feel free to post or PM me, I'm open to criticism/suggestions/comments, and anything as long as to improve my website.

It's just weird that both Google and Spyfu is showing different statistics, I don't think I can proceed with Spyfu's statistics. Can anybody enlighten me?

I'm dead tired now, whole day taken away just for keywords, time to go off sooner or later....

I found another keyword that seems better, due to the higher CPC and easier "TOP 10" competitor, although the search volume is lower as seen in Google Adwords Keywords Planner. I shall now go to sleep and decide on the keywords I want to choose. Comments/Suggestions are always welcomed! Can't wait to rank my website!

Nicely set out thread and you have a much nicer aim compared to the majority of journeys around at the moment.

One question: With high competition on your keywords are you willing to do all the SEO manually?

Day 1 starts~

I've completed researching my seed keywords, and generate them with Google Adsense Keyword Planner, giving me related keywords which I had already categorized them according to the "seed keywords category".

In total I have:

4 Lists (Category)
64+ Keywords under those 4 categories.

I really hope these are just enough, if not, I'm off hunting for more!

Next, as for the keywords, I'm still learning how to use "Market Samurai" to get some long-tails, and still learning how to use the "SEO Competition tab" which Bluematter mentioned in his post. I hope I can finish these tomorrow.

Black Tea Website is going to be ready soon!

Domain and hosting purchased from Namecheap, as I took advantage of Namecheap's hosting sale which is ending soon [SUMMERSALE] (50% off). Phew~ Saved $

What have I done for website:

Installed plugins recommended by Bluematter
Installed Wordpress Theme: WP Heatmap theme
Created custom logo with Photoshop

What to do:

Contact Us Page~
Privacy Policy~
Writing articles keeping main keyword density <3%~ (After I finished my long-tail keyword research)
Applying for Adsense account after having 10 articles up~

I have gone for the second keyword with weaker competitors, but lower search volume, with higher CPC and higher competition. I think that is the safer route newbies should go instead of the high searches, with low CPC. A little money is good too~

I will see how it goes (my ranking), if SEO optimized articles is sufficient. If not, I shall think of other ways and maybe go into link building soon or even promoting on social platforms.

I agree with you at this point because your website can rank well without link building. Just post new content every to days and see how it goes.
 
Blue's thread has given me some motivation to make my own site. But instead of going for one main keyword that has like 10k searches, i'm going for 4-5 medium searches per month (1k-5k) and then 30+ keywords that are 250 searches-1.5k per month with low competition.

But I do wish you luck, and I think that with most authority sites if you don't give up and don't go out and buy mass back links you should eventually get a great site that makes money.
