Don't do a contract without :
- A down payment, usually around 25-30%.
- A lawful contract, signed by both parties, with proper seal, contract that is admissible in court of law.

Regarding your SEO, what does your contract say? Do you deliver what you promised? Or you over-promised than under-delivered?
I understand that some customers are bad, but that doesn't mean that you must do revenge.
Instead of wasting your computer resources/time/bandwidth for these stupid endeavors, just promote your own site.

Oh, and your tactic of "viagra at restaurant" will not work at all.

The problem in Italy is that if you have lawful contract signed by both parties, is very hard to get money in reasonable time.

Start learning, read the BH and WH SEO sections, don't waste your time with negative SEO.
Learn how to do SEO and rank your own sites and make some money.
Also I consider myself a noob, there are many talented people here that you can learn from.

If your a good web dev don't waste your time with customers anyway. Do some blackhat and get yourself into the Lead Gen business or find a really good affiliate niche. Customers suck! They bitch and moan and some don't pay.

Well, not everyone here is from the States... In Europe, and especially in countries like Italy, contract means NOTHING.

OP: Best strategy is to absorb this one loss, shake it off and look for good clients in the future. Don't waste your time on anything with the word "negative" in it.
