What is your favorite breakfast?

Breakfast is overrated. In my opinion, it's not even natural to eat first thing in the morning. My first meal of the day is often late lunch (15:00) or sometimes directly dinner.

This is bad for muscles, you must eat breakfasts, I know about muscles too! :o
----
I eat sandwiches + coffee.

Oats with water, 1 egg and 3 eggs whites, black coffee, multi vitamin, and fish oil capules. Everyday day without fail.

I never eat breakfast. I just have some coffee and eat lunch 5-6 hours after I wakeup.

I don't think there was ever a point in my life where I ate breakfast regularly. It doesn't seem right to eat that early in the morning.

That's "chapati&soup"
Sometimes my favorite breakfast is any large dish that makes me wanna go back to sleep...

This is how we do breakfast in Honolulu

It's actually a myth that you need breakfast and that it's the "most important meal of the day". Research shows that you can and SHOULD skip breakfast and eat later in the day instead - at least if you're listening to people that actually know what they are talking about and not the idiot gurus out there.

I know it goes against everything you're told, but look into it and you will see why. I'm not sure what MuscleTeen follows exactly, but I do a 14-16 hour fast every day before I start eating. I have my last meal of the day around 12am, fall asleep around 2-3am and wake up at 10-11am, then don't eat until usually 3-4pm. Then I go and work out and slam all my calories at night in the post workout window.

The only days I don't follow this protocol is if I go out drinking. Fasting for 16 hours then drinking doesn't seem to work out too well haha.

I've found I'm way more productive by not eating because I can focus 100% on my work and not when my next meal is going to be or what I'm going to cook. It takes some time to get used to, but it's well worth it.

There are so many benefits to intermittent fasting that go beyond body composition too. Here are a few good links to check out that cover not only fasting but other nutrition information as well:

Then here's a few from Jason Ferruggia and his guest writers that know a ton about nutrition:

I'd suggest everyone give those articles a read and see if it doesn't change your mind about breakfast.

You won't get it if you've never been in bodybuilding.

I dont have a favorite, it always varies. Sometimes I want something hearty like eggs and bacon, and sometimes I want something sugary like french toast.

Breakfast is very important besides what some "fasters" have to say Especially if you workout you are catabolic by the time morning comes. Also what you eat first thing in the morning sets up your neurotransmitter production throughout the day. Which is why breakfast should contain high amounts of protein and good fat. No carbs. Try it. You will be more alert, more energy and less hungry throughout the day.

To each their own opinion, but I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one. I used to believe the whole "eat every 2 hours or you will lose muscle" nonsense and that if you don't eat first thing in the morning you will start losing muscle, but a lot of studies and real-life examples show this is not the case. When in a fasted state your body actually increases GH production which is beneficial for getting stronger and burning fat of course. Not to mention the numerous other health benefits from giving your digestive system a break.

Look at some of the links I posted above and you will see. I don't think anyone here would argue that Martin Berkhan from LeanGains.com or Jason Ferruggia aren't in great shape and they sure as hell don't look like they're missing any muscle. Both of them follow fasting diets where they don't eat breakfast and then down most of their calories at night in the post-workout window.

Biscuits and gravy is my favorite but most days I just have a yogurt as I try to keep it healthy.

4 baked eggs with cheese and some spices - most of the time. Sometimes i just do the same as G-S-T and not eat for a few hours.

Baguette with blueberry jam or with prosciutto crudo.
Sometimes chocapic with milk. :prof26:

Well, I do a 16 - 18-hour fast everyday (from dinner to lunch next day) and a 24-hour fast once a week (from dinner to dinner next day).

Besides the links provided by J1218, you may also read the works of Brad Pilon on intermittent fasting (for those who are interested).

Says who?

Especially if you workout you are catabolic by the time morning comes.

Exercising itself is often catabolic. It doesn't mean you will stop exercising, does it? Catabolism is not always bad...

Also what you eat first thing in the morning sets up your neurotransmitter production throughout the day. Which is why breakfast should contain high amounts of protein and good fat. No carbs. Try it. You will be more alert, more energy and less hungry throughout the day.

I'm sorry, but which neurotransmitter exactly are you talking about? There are quite a few of them and they differ largely in function.
