Care to tell us why? I googled it and it seems that there are indeed a number of users who found wordpress sites are slow on ipage (plus cron jobs aren't supported). But do you know the reason why it would be slow?

I've used ipage and they are slow as f*ck! I have a 3 year hosting contract with them and I already switch to hostgator after 3 months. Even if you use cloudflare, cache and other speedy plugins, it will be slow.. Good luck!

I agree! I just install a fresh Wordpress site with them and they're very super slow!

is normal to be super slow, you can't offer something good with 1$/year, probably they will force you to upgrade to something more expensive
