Only subscribers can download proxy list. The free account and only view the page listing them. The feature set between free and paid accounts is listed under the packages & pricing page. I can tell you though that if you subscribe you'll always have access to Google passed proxies.

I have been getting some really poor results scraping proxies lately, 99% of them are already Google banned or will be within the hour. Just looking at services like this though and I signed up for the free account but cant see where to grab the proxies...I thought you get 50 to test with or am I missing something?

Just a follow up.

I give Cool Proxies a big thumbs up! :thumb:

The API is great and I can pull the proxies that I need depending on the job.

Just signed up for your services! I have tried to scrape up proxies on my own, but it seems that I barely get 30 or so google passed proxies by the time the test are done. That could be due to the fact that the sources that I added are over-populated (never had luck with SB sources -- I can understand why) and that I get impatient as my proxy harvesting can run up to about 4-5 hours for a list over 20k-- is that normal??

I hope to have at least 100 or more to use for my harvesting as I don't use SB as much as someone that knows what they are doing, lol! Look forward to chatting with you on skype as I have some questions about the registration after making payment.

Thanks,

--Rich

Thats pretty normal with public proxy list and the build in SB proxy sources. Hopefully your having better luck with my service :) I just added a bunch of new proxy harvesters/scanners today on my network. You all should start seeing an increase in SOCKS and port 80 1080 and 3128 proxies since thats what they are targeting specifically.

Proxies are either slow or medium speed, and a lot of proxies got 404 errors
Had a problem the last 8 hours where things where not being updates but that's now fixed. As always you can look at statistics here http://coolproxies.com/proxy-stats/ . if there is a problem with the system you won't see updates in the counters. Its fixed now though but its Its going to take about 10 minutes for everything to sync up though since the harvesters where busy during that time finding new proxies and now the system is double checking those and adding them.

I also hope to have a full statistics interface complete in the next couple of days that will show you exactly what we harvest as far as number of proxies, type, latency. You can also filter how the slower proxies if you don't want them. but for many even a 1 second delay in a proxy is fine especially when most software now a days us multi-threaded.

Here is the Latency graph I've been working on that everyone will soon have access to. As you can see most proxies are between the 1-200ms and 201-500ms range.

UPDATE: Here's a link to the Coolproxies Statistics if anyones curious. http://coolproxies.com/coolproxies-proxy-statistics/
It's a work in progress so you'll see more statistic being added as time goes on and they are developed.

your api is not working is it? My link produces only like 40-50 proxies on all proxies where was your system says that over 3000 are present. I created a ticket but no reply.

Your account has been demoted since you violated my terms of service by giving out the proxy list. You have dexterproxy.com polling our API for proxies several times per second.

Speeds vary depending on the proxy and how many users are using it, etc. You can look at the Statistics page I posted a few message above to check out the Latency statistics or you can just view the proxy list via our website. Usually the proxies with the lower latency have faster xfer speeds. Same goes with the Exclusive/Non google listed proxies. Those in general will be also faster. I've seen some that have speeds over 10mb/s etc.

what's the speed of the proxy?

Quick 5 day review:

After having a crappy experience with another provider's 0.35$ shared proxies, I decided to sign up for this service, not having high hopes and thinking in the end I'd still end buying some expensive dedicated proxies or something.
I'm happy to report that after 5 days of using this I'm very happy :)
These are public proxies, yes, but for my needs this works out just fine. I don't do google or anything mainstream so that might be to my advantage, but as far as scraping content while hiding my IP, this requirement is met.
The offered API is great, no need to waste my time logging in to some website, copy/paste, excel, sort, trim, blaaaaa
I just call the API with PHP, cache the proxies on my end for a little while in a db, and when my php script needs to execute a curl query, it selects a random one from the list. It does take a few loops sometimes to find a working proxy, but once it selects a working one, it finishes the job, and if the proxy fails during the process, it just selects a new one from the table.
Yeah, it's a bit more cumbersome then having dedicated proxies, but once you set up the automation, it's very much worth the 10$/mo this costs!
I did have to contact support regarding 2 API issues they had, and these were fixed in a timely manner.

Thumbs Up :thumb:

Just signed up. Man I hope this is half as good as it looks. Ive been scraping like a
banshee and what a waste of precious time.
Will follow up with review.

Hi Everyone. Just a quick update.
  • We are now testing proxies to see if they are working with Ticketmaster.com, You'll see a extra column in the proxy list and it listed in the Custom API generator form. You can also just add &premium=1 to your API URL to only download ticketmaster tested proxies.
  • I've also expanded some filtering options to block dangerous IP ranges like the Department of Defense and other Government agency IP ranges. It seems like the DoD is actually operating some open proxies :P
  • Anti Leak code has been improved. Remember its against our terms of service to distribute proxies from our list. If you do I will find out :) Let keep the proxy list as exclusive as possible!

Thought I'd leave a review:

I've been with coolproxies.com for about a year now. Never any issues, always 5,000+ proxies ready to go. Mainly used with scrapebox. I get usually 30-50% working anonymous proxies and anywhere from 10-20% Google passes proxies which is very good.

Service highly recommended.

Abit premature but so far im not impressed, paid last night and still havn't gotten access.
