Life, love and family - none of which guarantee money but come with a lot more advantages.
As long as I have life, my family and their love I need nothing more. Money is fun, having them is more important.

Health and freedom. I wouldnt accept one million dollar for my health or freedom. Thats what motivates me every single day. If you think about it, these are the only things you need to do wtv you want - health and freedom.

I've seen sex mentioned a few times, along with money. Family is mentioned, and that makes me smile. People often forget why it is they are working so hard, and I think that's a huge factor in why they burn out. Also, I've heard of sex being too much of a distraction for some folks, or that its not so much a motivator, it's just another way to decompress.

Appreciation is the one which motivates people to get succeed in life / achieve short term goal..

Feeling the nice sea breeze, looking out of window and seeing that I have already achieved what I've dreamt of. Now just working very little, and just living life the way it's meant to be lived.

I can't help but feel my motivation is somewhat different to a lot of people here, or at least the way they are describing their motivation. A lot of people are mentioning money and sex, and while they are obviously a form of motivation I see them more as short-term goals than long term motivation.

Personally, I think my motivation is simple, once I'm gone, I want to have created a legacy that will live on without me. Money and sex are fantastic, but when you're coming to the end of your life it would be good to look back and remember the great times you had with people and to know that you've inspired others than to know you've got $1,000,000 in the bank and you've slept with 40 supermodels.

Don't misunderstand me, money is important (and will help in achieving my long term goal) and sex is fantastic - but when it comes to long-term motivation they're mostly irrelevant to me.

Motivation is just one part of the equation, you can be motivated all you want but if you sit on your ass doing nothing all day, you won't get very far. It's momentum that gets you going, you need to build momentum to get going.

Motivation gets you started, momentum keeps you goings...

Motivation is required to get started, but taking action and staying determined will ensure your success. For me, as I see my projects start to benefit myself and others it encourages me to push forward and keep it moving.
