:) Hey, folks.

The title of this thread has always been one of the first questions I ask people when I meet them. I've always been intrigued by the what's and how's that keep people focused on their goals. There's a number of distractions out there, and the method(s) utilized in breaking away from the temptation to veer off the path toward success are unique for everyone. So...yes. What keeps you determined and motivated to complete your goals, aside from the desired end result?

For my answer, mostly I'm driven by the wisdom I receive when I'm working toward a goal.

Couple of things, the respect from friends and family, having enough money to buy all the music gear I want.

:)

I'm motivated just by the fact that life is just too short - any time I lose motivation for anything in life I just think about that:
life is too short and no one know what happens when you die, so you need to make the most of life do your best and never have any regrets.

also sometimes I think about less fortunate people and how I shouldn't waste the luck I have has to be healthy and able.

The "why" we do something is very important. This is what keeps us moving. It most often than not gives us hope. Love would the primary motivator for most people. Love for family would probably be the top of the rank. If you know why your doing something it can make things a lot easier. It can also give you focus. Motivate yourself through positivity. A simple exercise I used to tell my employees was to go in front of the mirror every morning and verbalize your intents and positivity. Tell them to yourself. Like: "You will finish your work on time!" or "You will finally mow the lawn today!" or "You will close all your sales pitches today!". It work for most of my employees so I guess it should work for most people. Some tend to be visual or auditory in terms of processing info so this works for both leanings. When trying to lose weight I've heard of people cutting muscled or sexy pictures of bodies they wanted to look like and posting them in the mirror. Daily doses of the sense of moving forward or "getting somewhere" also helps a lot. Like weighing in every week and seeing you lost at least 2 pounds. That's another way to motivate yourself. Lastly surround yourself with people that are positive. Those that push you to be your best. If you need more tips just PM me. I'm also into Life-Coaching, big time. Would be willing to give some more free advice.

Motivation is just one part of the equation, you can be motivated all you want but if you sit on your ass doing nothing all day, you won't get very far. It's momentum that gets you going, you need to build momentum to get going.

Some people need constant motivation while other people don't because what they do is what they enjoy doing.

Money - Without it you sometimes can't do all the things you want to do in life.

I'm motivated by the quest for greatness. Money is fleeting, women come and go and ALL material possessions will one day be destroyed.

Creating a legend that will live on after you die is true greatness. What is your legacy, how will people remember you and your business?
