I've been trying to make money on Pinterest for awhile now but I have not made much until a few days ago with two sales giving me $63.So far i've created a imacro bot to follow,unfollow and auto post pins 24/7.My Pinterest has a PR4 and my pins page is a PR3 which is pretty decent I guess.

So far I havn't done any SEO on this account.No backlinks,nothing.I don't think i'll need to.

Here's some things i'm curious about.What works for making your Pinterest account more popular?More followers or more repins,likes and comments?

Now lets say its repins,likes and comments that give you more juice.Is it the full total of your accounts repins,likes and comments?Or is it a particular pin with a decent keyword and alot of repins,likes and comments.

When it comes to pinning,I really change it up with popular pins sometimes and pins in my boards niche.I also upload my own pins which I scrape from Google.

What do you guys think?Lets brainstorm.

Pinterest is by far by biggest traffic generator at the moment, although small I have 1788 followers and it's growing, but at a slow pace. I have a bot that post 1 image every 4 hours. Some of my pics have had more than 10,000 repins and it does generate traffic. In the last 30 days I had 9300 visits from Pinterest, which is still small, but from 1788 followers I think it's okay.

I have read in the forum that you should try to join the community boards and pin on them to get more followers, but I have tried that and nobody wants to add me to a board.

Another thing I have noticed is that my older posts generate way more traffic than the newer posts, and that the life cycle of pins is very long. As an example, my most popular page based on traffic was a post I made over 90 days ago, and it's still generating good traffic.

At the moment I am adding between 2 and 5 followers a day, so by the year 2078 I should have a lot. I am also looking for a way to increase this.
 
So far right now i'm getting about 300 - 400 followers a day.I'm following people and some are following me that i'm not following.As for traffic I have no way to track it.

So far what i've seen is the more pins you post the better chances you have at getting more followers.I havn't liked or commented on any pins because I believe that does nothing for your account.
 
300 - 400 Followers is a lot, well in my eyes :) How many people do you follow per day and how many posts do you do per day?
 
I follow about 1000 people a day and post about 500 - 1000 pins a day in my niche.
 
Can anyone recommend some good pinterest software? seen a few threads in the buy/sell subforum but not sure which one I should go for.

where are you pinning your pins?
onto a group board with a lot of followers?

what worked good for me in regards to gaining followers was re-pinning quality pins onto other people's group boards.
but it doesn't work as well anymore for some strange reason.
i also did mass invites to my group boards, which worked pretty good.
just make sure you are pinning targeted images.

I'm pinning my pins to two of my own boards.I only post to group boards I was invited to maybe once a week.I was getting about 10 board invites a day but it slowed down.The bigger board invites I got have 5000 - 30,000 followers.Only two of those bigger boards is in my niche.

and how many followers do your own 2 boards already have?
i ask because 300 - 400 followers per day is awesome growth, i used to gain about the same amount of followers per day but not anymore.
i used a similar method, but i re-pinned to group boards instead of my own boards.
how did you initially get a small following?

Right now i'm about to hit 4000 followers.The 300-400 followers happened for a few days but its slowing down now because i'm pinning more than following right now.I had 1200 followers about 3 days ago.

It really depends on your niche and what you are pinning.I change it up alot.I'll scrape images then use targeted keywords and hashtags which I do manually.Then I use my imacro to post popular pins to my generic board.Then i'll use the imacro for 24 hours to post into my niche.This has been working pretty good so far.

So my small following is really from posting good pins into niche targeted boards.
 
One thing I notice is each day I'm getting more hits to my offers.

Need to learn how ya guys are generating traffic from pinterest, becuase never tried it :|
 
I just started with pinterest about 2 months ago. I follow anywhere from 750-1000 people a day. From following those people I average about 30 new followers a day, I currently have 2021 followers from doing this. I post 3 pins per day. Right now I'm averaging 125 repins a day. From all that my site is averaging about 200UV a day.

I figure if I just keep this up for a couple more months I should be seeing some decent traffic. To me it definitly has potentional and I'm gonna keep at it.
 
I like this thread since I've been doing some pinterest spamming lately. About two weeks ago I pinned 2k of my own images on just one account, all linking to the same landing page. Three days later I started getting a lot of activity. Tons of repins every day and about 200-300 visitors per day. Attached is my income from just this small test. Now if only pinterest would stop updating their site so often I should be able to duplicate this and scale up. My bot keeps needing to be updated because of pinterest updating their site.

That's why I like my imacros,they never need updated
 
I've been using imacros for about 5 years now.
