will Changing URL in word press lost my link juice?

My current URL is "http://abc.com/apple". I built some high PR backlinks to it.
Now...
i want to target the keyword "apple juice".
Can I change my URL in wordpress to "http://abc.com/apple-juice"?

OLD URL:http://abc.com/apple
NEW URL: http://abc.com/apple-juice

I tested it. The Old URL will not go to 404 and will redirect to the new URL automatically.
Question: Will i lose the LINK JUICE from the backlinks I already built for the old URL? Will it take me backwards in the SERP?

If you don't follow this advice, you will lose link juice and SERP.

Yeah, 301 redirect will do the trick. Anyway, why you want to change the URL when it is ranking high in Google. Better don't change it so often. Else you will have a lot of messy links in the future.
