We need to chill out a bit

Damn, you caught me dude :)
Don't tell anyone about this ok?

well, what other reason would there be to make such a thirsty ass thread? You know damn well the majority of "female" posters are most likely men, but nah you need a girl so bad you wanna go all Captain-Save-A-Hoe in the BHW Lounge

Lol if you say so dude.

Male or not, these account owners need to be treated equally. Don't make any sense give a different treatment just because the user claims to be female.

I know whats really going on here man. You can be all passive aggressive if you want I'm just trying to let you know up front that you're not going to pick up any chicks on BHW, and making threads in desperate defense of the female (actualy male) members here isn't going to help.

South Africa must have lots of nice chicks to save IRL i'm sure?

Why are they mentioning it? "Hi I am a girl...wanna learn"
Come on! If it did not matter then why mention it? If they were just typical IM'ers and we found out
that they were a girl then that would be normal and fine.

There are well respected female members of this community. But they did not barge in throwing around
the fact there a female.

Do not get me wrong OP I respect your concern and agree to a degree. But most of the people throwing around gender on a
first post are full of shit :D

Cheers,
Unclemike

I agree that there is a lot of ewhoring going on, and some details are better left unsaid, but I also think that new members, female or not should be given a chance to establish themselves in the forum before they are flamed to oblivion.

I'd thank you if I had any thanks left for the day, you do make a good point as usual :).

I don't think it's going to change anytime soon. Men go after women. That's 65 millions years of biological hardwiring. That happens in every area of life: whenever a woman shows up, guys jump all over her and try to get in her pants. That said, it's a little unprofessional. This is supposed to be a place to discuss business. What the hell chance do you have of meeting a girl from BHW anyway? What are the odds that one of them lives right near you? Or are you just going to fly halfway across the world to try and bang her?

And yes, on a certain level, some of these girls may be doing it on purpose. "Hey guys, I'm a girl! How do I make money?" Why can't they just say "how do I make money?" like all the other noobs do? I've never seen a thread that says "Hey guys, I'm a male! Anyway, I'm looking to make some money in IM!"

So in conclusion: BlackHatWorld is not a singles bar. Both sexes need to remember that.

Maybe we can just treat everyone with respect until they act like a whore?
It's embarrassing as a man to see how some guys act. Its like they are the genitalia Nazis.
The recent ones I have seen were simply people saying hello and sometimes what they do, but they get treated like they came in and said "I have tittes, give me stuff!!".
I wouldn't come back for more of that either. Not enough respect in the world anymore.
It is indeed embarassing, very much so....
in fact, I wonder how many members here - when they grow up to maturity and become parents themselves -
how would they feel if their daughter joined BHW and were treated in such a sexist and unjust manner?
My guess is that they would be angry and dissapointed, so perhaps some of those posters should refrain,
by taking a minute to think about this very fact.

Although I understand your point; if they can't handle some trolling, then forums may not be the best place for them. I have yet to visit a forum free of trolls.
this is very true.

I've used this picture before but still relevent !

Very relevAnt :) it shows the sadness of a furum which has so many alpha males as members, horny as hell.

There is no point of introducing sex at first post.
What? In real life too? lol j/k

When I see a thread with a title like, "I'm new here, I'm a girl, please help!" that says to me that even if they really are a girl, they are just using their gender to try to gain an advantage in our community, and that has no place here in my opinion.
I agree, but sometimes the female realizes that this is male dominated, and needs to quote this in order to get balance.

I agree with aaric's post, what's the point of mentioning your gender in a post on an IM site, it is not a dating site, right?
Have you not gone to the correct section.... it is on your left hand side, search for BHWDating.

This thread should be a sticky in the introductions forum.

sadly this is true.
I say sadly because in order to be non-sexist, we sometimes have to be ANTI-sexist to achieve balance.

If it was really a girl they wouldn't advertise on a forum that they're a girl.

Great answers GLT, I think at the end of the day people are a little too comfortable in the fact that this is the internet and very often their true colours come out. "I'll say what I want because no one will know it's me."

I agree we are all intelligent people or else we would not be here, we are all smart enough to know when someone is trying to through a curve ball into the conversation for personal gain, we are IM for crying out loud, we invent theses techniques.

I mean really this just posted

I wonder what would be the responses to something like:
"I'm a fat and ailing single mother, 66 y.o., with 7 children and have only as much to survive for the next xx days. I would like to know from you where should I start in my IM career without making my bank do a belly up. Thanks, fellow members." ...

I don't think anyone will want to see anymore of her then. Hence the "new girl" mentions she is just 15 yo and already have a debt (car loan, few boyfriends loan, xxxx loan, etc.) and needs to earn $18 million before 6 AM tomorrow to begin a new life with your help... doesn't sound like a normal 15 yo real girl is talking there, and thus gets all the arrows flying in her direction. IMO

Both absolutely right. I won't say much other than it's curious how such a thread appeared so soon after I posted this one. Whether or not it was posted to spite me and the flaws in "Giving the benefit of the doubt" remains to be seen. Like tompots said, we should be intelligent enough to know if the OP is legit or not. I think this can be done without acting like total brain dead males though.

Those "girls" only come to see if they can strike gold in first 2 hours. I guess, they are never here for a longtime slogging and learning an art.

when the thread starts out-- hey boys ex cam girl looking for help- it's like throwing blood into the ocean for the sharks,, it just starts a frenzy,, the girls should know that, there cam girls, I have nothing against that but they know what type of response is going to happen. If the thread started like this, women owned business looking for help in social media or onsite seo, the entire tone of the thread would be different.

I do agree with you, but then again...if someone can't take flaming, why is she/he on the internet anyway? It's not like we got trolls only on BHW.

And yeah, 90% of those "girls" are...wannabe girls. :)

This is true, but I don't think an introductory thread is an appropriate place for such things. Personally, I think that regardless of apparent gender, we should treat new members as we would any other member. Say hi, welcome them to the forum. And then let their actions and attitude in the forum be what defines them. If someone is seen breaking the rules, report them, it's not necessary to degrade yourself and the forum by acting like a primate.

Just my thoughts on this :)
