Being a Yank I always pronounce niche like nitch. Niche like neeshe sounds strange but considering there is a vowel following the first vowel that should make the first vowel long so I guess the letter i should be pronounced like a long e if my hooked on phonics is still correct. Just hearing it all my life as nitch and never hearing the word neeshe until video became popular in IM set me in my ways.
