So and hence: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006053119848
huehe in America I always hear it like "nitch", sounds like a butchering of the word to me
Always pronounced it as "neesh". I think "nitch" is an American thing.
Sounds like bitch ^^
Some people pronounce it nitch, I prefer 'neesh.'
I also first thought it was fiv-er but five-er sounds way cooler.
Another mistery solved
And I pronounce "douche" like this: "doo-shay", because "doosh" is too masculine.
However "Stupid fucking thread" is still pronounced in the standard manner.
I pronounce it "Nitch-ay"....Never got the time to check its correct pronunciation.
Fuckio.....I've been pronouncing it Nit-chi as in Itchy.........No wonder I have no work !
BHW thought for the day: how are people supposed to find niches when nobody knows how to pronounce it?
Neesh sounds good, although fivver is a bit odd.
Some people pronounce niche like 'nitch' right?
Gotta be neesh - I cringe when I hear Americans pronouncing it wrong.
Taken our language and screwed it up
Been pronouncing niche as nitch. lol. As for fiverr, I pronounced it as the pronunciation in five then add err
Been discussed more than once:
and as others have said Niche that rhymes with itch is an American thing. Pronouncing it Neesh sounds equally strange to me as the way I pronounce it sounds to you.
You know us 'Yanks' have to have our own way of saying things.
In Germany they pronounce it nietzsche.
If you're pronouncing 'niche' as 'nitch'- you're butchering the English language. Please, stop -__-
Here you go http://www.howjsay.com/index.php?word=niche
I always used to think of it as "neesh", this is the first time I came across it as "nitch".
Nitch, snitch, bitch. I got a nitch, I mean an inch, no I meant itch, can you scratch it?
Don't click here!
Being a Yank I always pronounce niche like nitch. Niche like neeshe sounds strange but considering there is a vowel following the first vowel that should make the first vowel long so I guess the letter i should be pronounced like a long e if my hooked on phonics is still correct. Just hearing it all my life as nitch and never hearing the word neeshe until video became popular in IM set me in my ways.
Separate names with a comma.
