Outsource to the Philippines...

I've tried to outsource to the Philippines before but have usually found it to be a waste time.

The good ones have a 'pay me the going US rate' which defeats the object but try explaining that to them. I did and it was just a 'going round in circles' situation.

The other type is like somebody above posted. They claim they can do it, even show you projects that 'they' have done. Then you start working with them only to find out that they actually can't do the work. When they start to realize you're getting wise to them they just go silent on you and whatever money you've paid is wasted.

Just my experience for what it's worth. Like most things in life you get what you pay for.

You are damn right. What you get is what you pay for. If you don't have anybody supervising them, you will be wasting your time. You better outsource by piece.

Somebody ,cant remember, posted a few weeks back that he/she was moving business to the Philippines and was only going to employ women. They stated that they were trustworthy loyal and hard working, thankful of the opportunity to gain work, money and independence.

BTW - According to Goog: 15 000 Philippine pesos = 307.5 U.S. dollars. (Which is about the monthly salary for a schoolteacher!) You can do a currency conversion in the search box.

I am also outsourcing and already have had bad experience. If you look at GAF for instance, you will see many kids who promise to do all you want, but at the end the outcome is nothing. There are so many people who think they can programm, but in fact, most of them do not and members of the skilled group already have a well-paid job.

Depends certainly on what you want... easy php and html could break the monthly budget down to 300$, although I have doubts. For serious programmers you have IMHO to start in the 10$ hourly region.

But... I might be wrong. If a skilled java programmer is reading that and interested in a long-term job oportunity for small money, contact me

There are someone who you can't really trust, but don't generalize as the whole Philippines. It sounds like you have outsource all of filipinos.
