Agreed, imo it's another classic case of Facebook overstepping their niche boundary to compensate for their 2+ billion purchase of IG. Instagram was for pictures, I don't like hearing sound on every photo app & 15 seconds is too long.

As I was using Vine and now switched to Instagram video, I kind of find the last one much more improved.
Mashable found at least 6 reasons why Instagram video beats Vine>
1) Clip editing
2) Cover frame
3) Filters
4) Tap to focus
5) Image stabilization
6) Vision beyond the video frame
