what is the difference between white hat seo and black hat seo? which one is better for you think. ..?

Jessepit,

I'm not really sure you can draw a line in the sand on this one. There are undoubtedly a lot of differing viewpoints on what activities are white hat and which are black hat. Some tactics may fall squarely on either side but others are harder to tell. For example in Google's quality guidelines, they elude to the fact that they don't want anyone building a link for the purposes of getting a website to rank although many people practicing white hat SEO still build links.

I think in general if you try to build something useful and that creates a good user experience, you are practicing white hat SEO (of course whatever you are doing could still violate some engine's guidelines for content).

As far as which is better for a website, I think that would depend on your goals. If all you are trying to do is get a site to rank quickly and you don't care about longevity, then using tactics that are likely to get your site de-indexed is probably acceptable (hence better). If however you want your site to be around for a while and you are building a brand online, then you would probably want to stick to tactics that will not get your site de-indexed.

Here is a lot of good info on the topic,

Hope that helps,

Black Hat SEO generally involves techniques used to get higher search rankings in an unethical manner, while White Hat SEO respects search engine designs and involves no deception. If you want your page ranking to stick around, White Hat SEO is definitely what you'd want to pursue.

White hat SEO is all about user experience. You should not build links on your own, but it should get naturally. - according to google :D
Black hat SEO is building links in traditional way.

ALL SEO is created to get higher rankings hence the term SEO (search engine optimization) the differences (like already mentioned) are kind of hazy.

For the most part White Hatters build user friendly links and content, USUALLY not in bulk and Black hatters build content that is many times copied and spun and distributed in mass to many different platforms.

This is a very generic answer but it is not easy to define. Kinda like porn they say "I cannot define it but I know it when I see it"

In simple.
White hat is for long term but, takes time to rank
Black hat is fo short term but, takes short time to rank

White hat SEO is literally growing your site naturally, posting articles, etc... Read the thread about white hat SEO here on BHW, that doesn't exists, it pours into the gray zone... Everytime..

And Black Hat SEO is shorter term with a lot of SEO tools that can provide you better rank in short-term or just shorter then the first one... Any way, Google can penalize your site sometimes even if you are totally white hat...

That's true and:

White Hat effective for = Long term
Black Hat effective for = Short Term

And if you try to get quick results using white hat methods it will not work! and if you try to get long term results using black hat methods it will not work too!, so it's better to have a mix of both.

Thanks to all of my repliers. Really I am satisfied with the answer. I came to learn many secrets thing about white hat and black hat. Thanks to all again.
