Remove the Lounge post on the homepage

While I agree with the sentiment: "More useful posts, less nonsense threads." I do not like to remove the lounge section.

It's there for a reason. No lounge section means people are going to shoot the shit on the regular forums. Let's face it, removing the lounge won't stop nonsense threads. It will just misdirect the nonsense into the few useful threads.

Because the link to that page (New posts) is not present on the home page (http://www.blackhatworld.com). I always use it, but when I log in to BHW, I click the BHW logo and that's when the 2nd-line sub-menu appears where you can see the New Posts menu-item under the Home menu-item. So, it's a 2-click issue basically to make the New Posts menu visible.

I think we should have the New Posts menu/link made available on the HOME screen itself. And may be there should be a control made available to members to select any (major) menu/link as the member's default home-page.

Hello sir, I think you did not get the point. I dont want to remove the lounge section completely. It will be only removed on the homepage of the forum (where the latest post shows).

I also visit lounge for fun.

i think the op means remove lounge post showing up on homepage, not the lounges section

to OP i agree with this ! More useful post to show up and read on homepage and to anyone who wants to get trolled can just visit the lounge section on nav bar

here's a quick fix.

instead of using the home page you can use the new posts button which is directly under the home button in the top nav bar.

it's pretty much identical to the home page except you can customize which sections show up.

go to general settings in your profile, scroll to the bottom and you can remove the lounge and anything else you don't want.

You can always bookmark the New Posts link and you will have it one click away... Just be sure that is the first link on the bookmark bar

Naah, not needed! I like to glance at the Home-Page anyway, and then it's a matter of clicking the logo...

But a menu-link to that New posts would be a Welcome addition on the Home-Page.
