I'm so sorry for what I've become

the root of all evil is "mankind"... not money, not the love of money, and not religion (plenty of rotten non-believers around). put the blame where it belongs.

lots of places can use help.

1. food banks.
2. pet shelters.
3. scholarships.
4. red cross.
5. health clinic.
6. the library.

p.s. and poverty doesn't build character or make one moral. this is a scheme to keep the masses downtrodden. i.e. people actually boast about being "poor but honest", and then look down on anyone with wealth.

money is the root of all evil, yes, mmkay.. come see where I live.. here if you have no money, you die like a piece of shit fly on the ass of a cow. hows that for the root of all evil.

where i come from, money is the root of survival.

I have the song of the Editors on the background; Well Worn Hand (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_z4_u8tRkcM) and i'm pretty drunk right now.

My internet business is going well, but i'm so unhappy. I only think about money, power and money again. I don't want to be this person. I only think that i can be happy with money and that when i lose all my money i would be nothing. I feel myself better than people who are in a lower position than i am, and i don't want to be this person.

Still it seems for me like this is the only person i can be. It's who i am. It's from the family i'm from. It's my destiny.
I want to have a nice girlfriend but i only attrack golddiggers.

Maybe i should get out for a year or so, to discover other continents and learn from other people. But i can't do that because of my family. My grandmother and father are very old, and i want to be there for them.

The only thing about is money and my social status. I'm so afraid for the moment to come when i fail.
Is this what i've become? Some person who only thinks about money. Only thinks about himself? I hope not.

Sorry for this post, but i had to get this of my stomach.

Typical. Green level awakened in orange (personal success) with unfinished purple (family and clan).

Guilt is normal in greens. You'll be alright. It'll pass.

Go practice minimalistic living for a while and travel the world with no possessions that don't fit into your backpack.

You must go and travel to overcome purple attachments to your family and successfully transition to green.

Or, alternatively, you can stay where you are and be miserable. The choice is yours.

Regards.

hmm have you tried sticking your fingers into your throat? it always worked for me. :)

seriously mate, get over it. be thankful that you do have a successful internet business. try sharing your profits to those who are less fortunate. Do that and you will feel that something in you has been filled up. :)

If your nature is too tiny to handle success then give it up.

I understand part of you, OP. That's also what I'm going through, I feel blank sometimes and feel it's so meaningless. When we didn't make money, it was full of inspiration and all...

Dude you're complaining about making money lol... I wish I were in that position

The man is right. Money can change people, in good or in bad. And he is not complaining about making money, but WHAT money did to him. IDK but on some point this can be dangerous if you dont know how to handle this situation.

@Diviance, i dont give advice about other peoples life, but i was in a similar situation long time ago before God blessed me with my daughter. What i did? Every month i went to an orphanage and donate some money, clothes. food and so on. I cant describe the feeling BUT i can tell you that this simple action changed me. That was 8 years ago and i still do it today, along with my daughter now.

Im sorry if i gone too deep into this, but like i said sometimes this situation can be dangerous.

Take an axe and chop off your right hand. Then you will appreciate how good you used to have it.

Here is the easiest way out, and doesn't cost a cent:

Talk to the person in the mirror and tell him to smile a lot. Then tell him that he is doing absolutely fine, and now is the time to begin a new venture, and that is to create an hour for others every day, at least. Then just go out, watch everything and mentally bless them. No one is going to stone you for that because they aren't going to hear anything! :)

This is a very potent kind of prayer. You are actually doing something for everybody and everything, and guess what, the mother earth's mystical powers will create the right kind of positive surrounding for you as her token of being real happy at how you're helping her children. Sounds like fun, friend? :) Do it everyday, and see the positive results in your life soon!

You are the only one who can make you very happy in life. Others are going to help you become it. :)

Cool......Head in the oven thread.......What I need to read on a friday morning before I hit the road and cash up.

Pro-Tip: Turn off The Editors and put on The Beach Boys !

Wow!

Thank you guys for these great tips and reply's. I was really wasted last night and really didn't remember i posted this thread the first place. Funny to look back at what i posted.

I'm 22 and i'm full time IM now. I have lots of friends, and every saturday night i go out and party. Most of the days i stay at home and work.
Deep in my heart i want to travel for several months, but i come that just isn't me.

I don't like to backpack, i want a nice hotel and a shower.
It would be great for me to get out for a few months, but i'm so afraid my business will fail and that i won't be succesful.
Somehow, for me it's so important to live up the expectations everyone has for me, but deep inside i just want to be happy. The other person in me wants all the money and fame.

I really need to think about this and make up my mind.

Thanks again guys!

Not to worry now! Each person inside you can take turns and everyone there would be happy and rich. If you can't travel to distant lands now, just watch some videos then close your eyes and "be" there. Make it real... When you want to go out and help people but can't, just read about related personalities and true stories, close your eyes and "do" that yourself! No big deal, and there is always a chance that you'll achieve soon what you desire now. There is always a way, you see...

Be happy! It's only a state of your mind. :)

You worry too much (which isn't to say many of us haven't been in your shoes).

You seem like a nice guy, smart, sociable, financially successful. If I were you I wouldn't plan any round-the-world tours. Not with your folks so old. When they're gone you might regret every day you spent away. What I'd do is find a new passion in your life - not so much a hobby or a vague interest, but a passion. Dip into it in sensible amounts that won't affect your business. This passion may even come to define the person you are or want to be. Charity, a branch of learning, sport. On top of that, give yourself a nice week-long vacation here and there. Dip into the world. Jump on a plane and walk down a foreign street. That feeling is amazing when you're 22. And the good thing is, you can take along your laptop. Finally, it also sounds like you worry about financial failure. This is the easy part - especially when you have money and smarts. Begin a process of setting up sturdy and dependable income streams.

I've been there and in some ways I still am. I moved halfway around the world to be with my parents.
