[Dedicated to Pofecker] At Least $100/day using Torrents - SCALABLE AS HELL [2013]

Hi, OP. I got a niche. After one day I recevied 10 emails, I replied them with a password protected file. But no one do survey to download the password. What should do to increase the convert rate?

Should I tell them Its a password protected file in advance? what software do you use to build a landing page?

Hey,

Glad that you're finally having some promising results. In order to increase conversions you should put yourself in the visitor's shoes for a moment. Hardcore downloaders have lots of experience with websites like sharecash, fileice...etc and lots of people use fake files on these websites so a lot of downloaders exit as soon as they see one of those domains in the address bar.

I prefer to keep the landing pages "light" so I don't really use full wordpress installations for them, instead it's a simple HTML page created through Dreamweaver or even MS Frontpage. You just need to sell the user EXACTLY what they need. Landing pages should have a cachy headline, bullet points outlining the download's benefit and I've found that a video walkthrough (especially if it's a keygen or so) boosts conversions pretty heavily. So my typical layout would be headline, embedded video proof, bullet points (I like to use custom images for bullet points, green tick works well) then big download button. Make sure the download button's color contrasts well with other colors and stands out. Maybe use graphical red arrows to point to it. It should be very obvious for the user wha

As for landing page layout and designs, I like to use simple "minisite templates", tons of those shared everywhere and by googling "minisite templates" you'll come up with a lot of results. Mini$itebolt.com (replace $ with S) is a decent one.

Remember to keep the landing page pretty short and to the point. Avoid stories and IM-styled landing page writing at all costs. :)

Keep at it :)

Thanks for sharing the Gems.. will work on this as soon as i complete with YT + CPA method.

RIP Pofecker bro.

Youssef Thank you so much for the method ... I'm Egyptian too , and i'm a newbie ... i will be applying this method with my twists , i hope it works with me :)

I tried affiliate link too. What ever i do they suspend me. Seems this method is found out by TPB mods

If you've understood how the whole method works and WHY it works, you'd understand that getting flagged would be very unlikely. Your torrent is 100% high quality with no spam anywhere at all within the torrent. It's actually something USEFUL hence you get the bonus of people seeding your content and mods generally giving you a break. From what you're saying you did not even follow the method, at no point in the thread have I mentioned including extra files, shortcuts or redirects within the torrent itself. Please reread the thread and amIdreaming's response.
Obviously you didn't read carefully what OP mentioned
1st Mistake: You should not post torrent that already existed on the torrent site
2nd Mistake: HTML page is definitely spammy, it will get your torrent flagged immediately, you missed important point by OP which is get people to email you to make it as natural as it feels
To your last question, refer 1st mistake above.

Thanks for sharing the Gems.. will work on this as soon as i complete with YT + CPA method.

Good luck to both of you, hope it works for you guys. @egblack, glad to hear, work at it, use your brain to make some twists and you'll be successful isA. :)

Nice way to get traffic...
You can obviously monetize the downloads on the landing page and then you don't need to block it.
Let me know if you need help with doing it (PM)

Cheers

This is such bullshit no matter what I do there is always a barrage of problems. First of all where do you create and host a landing page? Every free hosting company I sign up to there is an error with file manager saying "could not resolve dns" this only started recently. You Can't put up gateway lockers on blog and how do you even set up an autoresponder in gmail.

What's with the attitude buddy? I don't recommend free hosting, to start with. For how to use autoresponder in Gmail, search in Google. It's very basic. Btw, we're not your money making slaves in here, so just a friendly advice, if you need someone to help, you need to watch your attitude.

Very good.
I just save this and will take a shot when i have time.

Hi! -I hope this is not too necro to reply.
Nice post. I'm a "lite" distributor, if you will :-) been around since the days of MYTH. I never pursued this avenue, although I wanted to, but a few years back I got the famouse letter from the ISP, Microcrap and Warner Bros said I was being naughty LOL. But living in an apartment, was easy (for the first time) to pass it off as someone hijacked my wireless - and that was that. Since then, I became a ghost on the net and still torrent and such - I just took hiding a little more serious- wasn't much of an issue back in the 90's.

My question is broad - applies to the OP as well as other sites that have been up for over 10yrs + that use the filesharing method vs torrents. We're talking exchange of legal tender here, ergo, your ID and other personal information has to be released somewhere - so "they" know where to send the check. youssef93 mentioned that he DOESN'T recommend free hosting, so again - real personal info is getting out. How are legal issues avoided getting paid to distribute illegal files? This is one thing that has held me back, although I know many are making a fair living - I think we calculated somewhere in the range of $800/mo - to as high at $1,500/month for the big boys (no names-but I am sure you know who I am talking about).

Can someone shed light on this? Or am I REALLY missing something here? I have never seen this topic covered, which draws red flags for me. Why would anyone talk about "how-to" on torrenting illegal files, yet do not cover ID protection when it comes to getting paid. some webcop downloads your file, it's illegal, wont take a genius to figure out how you are getting paid, then trace it back.

Thanks in advance for anyone that can help me understand this!

My condolences to Pofecker. I did not know him, but anyone that can get a rep on the web, must be a great person.

You raise some valid points there. With regards to hosting, it's not as hard as you think as many hosts now offer anonymity. Something like prq.se (previously hosted ThePirateBay) and many others out there. PRQ doesn't care if everything you give them is fake. Also with bitcoins around since a while, hosts are starting to accept those as well, practically anonymizing the electronic transfers making it fairly hard (if not impossible) to trace.

Hosting aside, if they really want to trace things back to you, they can to some extent if they get to your CPA network. But then a reputable CPA network would not just volunteer information about you without court orders. Balckhat friendly CPA networks may offer you even more protection although I'm not sure about that.

It's a hassle to get a reputable CPA network to give out the details with court orders. Of course some networks may shut you down upon receipt of just a notification email if they are strictly against working with copyrighted content.

An alternative to CPA networks are PPD networks. It's usually harder to single out a single publisher from PPD networks.

All that aside, if you're asking how I or any others would be doing this with relatively no risk involved, it sort of comes down to your country of residence at the end of the day, which is your last line of defense against law suits.

Most third world countries (like mine) have very little if strict laws against copyright infringement. Here these kind of laws are still a "luxury" as we have so many more important issues at hand. Basically production companies here have kinda made peace with pirates. A director a while ago posted on his twitter account: "Dear pirates, please wait a bit before sharing my new movie (movie name)". He begged pirates not to share his movie too soon so as not to impact the theater profits. Get an idea about how things are?

It's ultimately your decision whether to take the risk. Depends on how much "layers" there are between you and legal action and how comfortable you are with these "layers" for your protection.

Hope that helps. :)

Thank youfor your response, and information. Just to re-cap, in short: Just basically keep all hosting on 3Wcountries, and from what I've read, Cleanfiles is the best way to go as one of the staff is a member here at BHW. If not (wait for it .... :-P ) do you personally prefer ppd or cpa? and of which of those sites do you personally use - to be the best - follow the best. If you walk in the same path they do, you'll end up at the same spot. Right?

Anyways, one final inquiry, again not mentioning names, but I am a member of a few sites that have been up solid for over 13+ years HUGE user base! Of those, 2 of them use blogspot, and then direct file links, no pw to file sharing hosts (MF, DF, RG, FS, FF to name a few). If you can guess - not sure if you know, how are these guys not getting hit with legal ramifications. Yes their files sometimes get removed from said host, but they just pop it up on another file sharing host. Bottom line, over 10yrs of doing this and still up - even AAA games, how are they staying clear? One of them has a - believe it or not - address and 800 number for support!!(yes I'm not a moron, the google maps showed some wharehouse LOL, and didn't call the number) REALLY??? And not busted. I would still love this method like they do: Blogspot -> filesharing host then host pays them. Done. No pw, no landing sites just a blog, and links. I know it works, (pm me if you want the names of the sites that have been up forever) and I do not think they are doing it for free. Again, like my prev post - they have to issue all their real info to get paid from all these sites, mediafire tends to lean a little on the "nice" side, so I only use them as personal back up, and fileserve as well as filefactory puckered up after the megashre FBI bust to you can only retrieve your OWN files.

I think these are good questions, as they are close to OP posting. while it does not pertain to torrents itself, it does beg the OBVIOUS question, how do I make money and not get busted. Seriously, everyone knows how to steal/sell drugs/pimp/pirate - the REAL question is not how to do it, but how to do it, get paid and not get caught!

Anyways - wonderful site! Don't know why I never saw it before.

ps
If this is veering off topic, please feel free to move it - leave tracks so I can follow LOL

I dont see how this could convert well.
I mean
If you go on tpb, or any other tracker for that matter, and you type in: eset nod32, they are probably going to find the smart security bundle too, since they have similar tags.
If they would want to get the Smart Security, why wouldnt they just download it from tpb or whatever, instead of loggin into their mail service, take the time to email you and wait for your reply, even pay for the product?

I fully understand this method but do not see how I could make money out of it. Hard to believe you can make thousands of $ in XY time.
If you did, you are truly amazing and deserve a medal :)

Now I have found another traffic source, will try this soon with a little twist ;)
