The 'simple' design is really a copycat from Google's lastest style in for example its latest Gmail, I think Google > Apple since the launch of the first iPad Apple has gone downwards. For instance I think the short settings is not good looking at all and a lot of the design is copycat. Also its OS X updates are truly minor including a few updates that could easily be coded within several weeks.
Yup, granted that the OSX updates suck donkey balls. But the iOS updates are pretty good. Yes, i can see a bunch of copycat designs out there. But Apple < Android? No, i dont think so. I had the S3 a while back. The UI looked ugly, the apps were crashing often, the phone was hanging, switching off randomly, bla bla. Had to deal with a lot of shit! My 8X never disappointed me. Windows phone is by far my favorite. I had a few issues with the iOS earlier, but their apps and functionalities were top notch. That is with the maps aside. That was just a disaster.
Define 'clarity' please, android phones are super-simple IMO, especially stock android.

Well, i know this forum is full of a bunch of android fans, just a real life example, before iphone i had android phones and they always crashed, always were slow, and other stuff, while 3 years ago i changed to apple, everything is clear, the menu is clear, the phone is the fastest you can get on the market, it's very stable and apple store > google.
I never ever had any problem with my iphones, now i have 5 and i don't see anything better than it atm, i'm fully satisfied, and then it looks solid, not plastic. Just my real life objective example, but to each their own.

Of course there is a difference between a $150 android phone and a HTC One. I bet a HTC One does not crash and is never slow. Btw there are several phones faster than your iPhones, you've truly been hypnotised. Also I own a Nexus 4 with a 4.7'' screen instead of 4'' which is great. It is not plastic at all either. An iPhone looking solid is a joke because the glass quickly breaks...
Just some hate towards Apple lately ._.

Also, this is why i don't like android phones, they build freaking tablets, how do you call a 4,7 inch phone a phone? This is way too stupid and i'm afraid it's getting bigger and bigger each year.. how can you hold it, does it enter your pocket? Also check youtube comparaisons, just if it has 4 cores or anything doesn't mean it loads faster.
P.S. iphones also go in this direction, i'm afraid, just that they get taller, lol

I like Apple products, but looks like they're going down after Steve Jobs' dead. Everything from the 4S, iphone 5, "the new ipad", ipad 4, ipad mini, etc... blah blah bullshit ... LOT OF HASSLES! Looks like they forgot what Steve said:

Personally I have big hands (I am 6ft 8inches), but anyone I meet is able to use a 4.7'' phone very well.
Neither did I say 4 cores load faster, but benchmarks have shown the HTC One is quicker. And yes 4.7'' phone is a 'phone'. I can read a lot more text on a 4.7'' phone than on an iPhone, also the iPhone is nearly as long just not as wide.
Btw I don't know how small your pockets are but the phone easily fits in.
