The thing is this is not my first time with these things and I never let people get me down at all.
Like you said I just laugh at them knowing that they have no idea how to free themselves from a 9-5.
One marketing method I'm going to deploy is walk around with my dog in heavily populated dog areas and parks.
Hand out homemade dog treats to other people face-face with my website printed on the little dog treat bag.
That way I get a more impressionable marketing approach that people will use my services.
I plan to scale with pet construction.
Example.
Dog fences etc.
PS For you haters out there I am very successful in IM ( 1-3k month) but I realised that the real prize was an offline business that would set me free indefinitely from a 9-5

I was serious about the HOA (Home Owners Association) suggestion. If you had TWO @ 150 homes each - 300 * $25 per home = $7500.00 PLUS all your other stuff. The face to face doggie treats is WASTING your time. Get kids to do that. YOU sell the HOAs! Or whatever you call them there.

Anyone who has been in the dog waste business for any length of time will tell you that these devices do not work. They will get backed up very quickly. Also, I doubt this person go 50 clients in his first month. (If you did, then you are the first person in 25 years of this industry that has done so, but the seasoned veterans know better
Keep up the good work, this business will pay off in the long run.

I got to give you credit, this is a good idea. Everyone hates to pick up poop, and especially if you have a gardener you have to make sure you do if before they come. You could make this into something big, make it manditory that the subscribers get onto a monthly recurring payment plan using their credit card. This will ensure that you get your money on time every month and don't have to knock on their door every month. Stripe.com has a good system for recurring payments. Like someone else said, make sure you look into the legality about mass amounts of poop. Because they may require you to have some sort of containment for it, so that if it rains it does get into the ground water. Im sure they have some regulations on this. But take this business and run with it. Think big

I could pick up dog shit all day long compared to some jobs other people do for a living. My sister works at a nursing home and some of the things she has to do just makes me cringe.
I won't go into details but adult diapers, enemas, and accidents are just a few things she has to deal with. It is something that has to be done and it pays well, but its not for everyone. And there are worse jobs out there than that.

This is a real business that I can scale.
I have been freed from my 9-5 so I really dont give two flying F$%!s haha.
Also doesnt mean I will be doing this forever, I always thought this would be a good starter business for me that would prepare me for my real ideas offline.
As for the other supporters, I have no doubt they are going to do something with thier life because they can see it is a real cash positive business.
And yes I have 50 clients this month here is how I advertised for the less creative people.
Placed posters in local and other pet stores, groomers, food, toys etc
Door hangers in targeted areas with dog owners, ( My city has areas where most people own dogs and are well off)
Walked around dog parks, areas, paths where owners take thier dogs and did some face-face marketing in the form of giving them promotional dog treats and talking a little bit about my business.
Used my IM skills and scarped some targeted local FB dog pages.
LOTS of social media
Refferals
After every house I place a little advert on the clients lawn saying I was there.
This is a real business that I can scale.

^^really good idea. Don't listen to the haters man. Not sure where you live but market to upscale apartment complexes that have a lot of grassy areas and multiple buildings. Would be a no brainer for them.
Also interested in seeing how you can scale this out. Hard to see how the logistics will work once you have more than 100 accounts (getting to all of the sites, fuel, etc.) I assume you'd be hiring a staff? Anyways... good sh*t (pun intended)
