I just finished my first site in this. It's in the weight loss niche. I set my google alerts, and tomorrow I'll start joining forums and commenting on blogs. Before I had even finished putting all three products on my blog someone had already commented on it haha

So i have my wordpress site set up, spiffyreview.com (please tell me what you think), I got my G alerts set up and i've been playing around with them and you don't get alot of solid alerts...and the one's you do get won't let me put my hyperlink in...when I post it it comes up reg text which is useless. Anyway around this, my buddy said use html tags and i looked them up but don't really get it something about a> <a>...not a coder..surprise! thanks!
alot of these sites make you login or register to make a comment, you can do it with a gmail, twitter, fb, yahoo account, etc depending on site most are fb or twit. i had a fb with a decent chick on it and that's working out pretty well. you can log in alot quicker and it doesn't bog you down. i think it looks good concerning your niche if the fake fb or twit is gender and age appropriate too, just thought i would take a break from g alerts and maybe that will help somebody

I've been trying to work this method but I'm having a lot of problems finding comments that allow links. Is it worth my time to be commenting on pages that don't allow hyperlinks? Only a very small percentage of the alerts I get are leading to sites allowing comment links and I don't know if people will go to a mentioned page (inside page) that isn't a link.
How do you work around this? Thanks.

This method definitely works cause I made 2 sales today. I've been posting to all of my alerts for almost a week and didn't make anything until today but it definitely works.
Does anybody know how to track which ones are working? I have a feeling the forum posts are working but have no way to prove it. It doesn't seem reasonable to make a separate tracking link for each comment, cause that's a lot of tracking links and extra work. Anybody tracking their comments?

I'm not tracking my comments. I sat and posted on g alerts for about 6 hrs in all and got about 20 clicks. This is my site http://spiffyreview.com/category/weight-loss-diet-plans/ , i plan on making a page for every niche i can under the one domain...yay or nay? I'm no professional but it may look too put together/spammy. Any and all constructive criticism would be appreciated. thesadshow Congrats on the 2 sales!!! About how much do you post? Hey Dizzle,
1. Download a Wordpress theme that looks good for a review site here at BHW in the Downloads section.
2. Purchase Hostgator Hatching plan for only one penny due for the first month and $6.36 a month (unlimited sites and bandwidth).
3. Choose a domain name and register it. Hostgator is super-easy but you can go cheaper or even free elsewhere.
3. Write reviews and collect pics of the products for your review site.
4. Sing up for Clickbank and/or another affiliate program to sell products.
5. Have someone from fiverrdotcom install the wordpress theme to the hostgator cpanel, add the articles, photos, and your clickbank/aff links; two or three gigs.
6. Come back here and read about WP, clickbank, and forum posting while you already have a monetized review site up and running for $15.01.
But remember...
Do all of the tedious posting in forums with the steady diligence and quality-over-quantity approach that the fellows successful with this method describe or absolutely nothing will happen with your new website.

I'm new to the whole Internet Marketing game and this is gonna be the first thing I'll actually try. There's enough people who posted they got results with it so I'm just gonna go for it.
I made a website with 3 products. It's not weight loss but it's in the health/fitness niche. I gave it a clean look with pictures (not extremely professional but not amateur looking either)
Already answered a couple Yahoo answers but that didn't seem to generate too much traffic. I'm going to sign up to all the fitness boards and start posting there. Still deciding wether to just put my site in my sig or actually refer to it in posts..

So far I haven't been concentrating on how many links I can post. Instead I'm trying to write quite a bit on every comment to make it look like the link is added value instead of spam. I think a lot of it is in the way you word your comments/posts so they don't sound fake.
The review method is working but I didn't use a blatant review site myself. I have a site that looks like it has a lot of valuable information on it and the reviews are just articles I put in here and there, instead of making it a straight up review site. I think review sites are a red flag for spam with some people / moderators so I tried to make my site look professional and not solely based around reviews and products.
also, I noticed on some pages where I go to comment there is a fb comment widget (if i comment there, my link is never hyperlinked) but if I bypass that fb widget and scroll down a bit more there are comments for that page and my link is usually hyperlinked. I'm not getting alot of forums and blogs through my g alerts. Are ya'll googling "xxxx (your niche) blog/forum" or something? i know these would be solid places to post. thanks
I think your site is a bit too chaotic. You just put the product names as titles instead of something that should lure the customer. I'm new to this so I'm not gonna give too much advice but you need to think about what the visitors of your site want.
If you answer a question of someone who's having problems with his weight and you direct him to your site he doesn't want to see 1000 products. He just wants to know clearly where he can go to lose his weight. You have to kind of direct him there.
As for g-alerts look at your products and think of keywords. For example you got the 'ageless man' product. What would a potential customer of that product search for on google or forums? How to stop balding? How to build muscle at old age? Not feeling vital anymore? You get the point.

Really, I didn't know that... Well I'm actually finding the Q&A sites and forums more effective than just going off the alerts anyway...they do help for pointing out newer threads and discussions for specific topics, but at the same time I'm finding they also miss a lot of them too. If you look around manually you can find a lot more opportunities than just G alerts.

You need to build up your account to be a level 2 before you can post links in your answers. Just answer a bunch of questions until you have enough points to move up to a level 2 account and then you'll be able to post links.
