Ranking a Website with Fiverr

I'm new to the entire IM scene. Before learning anything about SEO, I did have a few websites and I still have them. None of them get any traffic really except for one local one that a lot of people in my area know about. They have ads on them but I do not make any money ($5/m). At this point, I do not have the time to do an entire SEO campaign myself due to work, golf schedule, university, etc but I have used some gigs on fiverr as tests and have seen results that were promised. These gigs were traffic gigs that did indeed bring in ridiculous traffic in a short amount of time (Chinese). It did not result in any revenue, but I want to know, is it possible to rank a site only using a few fiverr gigs? My website that I'm actively trying to rank does not have written content, its just an online tool but there are a lot of searches for it and my domain is an EMD with a hyphen.

So I guess my question is, should I bother using fiverr for my SEO, would it even help? Is it possible that fiverr hurts my website.

Its obvious you cant compete with $5 in hand and no knowledge whatsoever.

Iancis if you believe a shop to a shopper is a webpage to a web user then I don't even know what to tell you, that's a terrible analogy. And I do not have "no knowledge whatsoever"

You can't just rank on page 1 of Google by using Fiverr Gigs. If you managed to rank also, you won't stick there for a longer time.

Instead, build authoritative backlinks to your domain and it helps you in long run.

Search for "bakery new york" - gives you About 88,900,000 results. Now analogy makes more sense?

I had some success with Fiverr's pyramids, but in just 2 months the sites got slapped and went back to #100ish, so it isn't worth trying.

I've ranked my site reasonably well using odesk which is similar to fiverr in a way. It has probably cost me a fair amount of cash but I did it over a long period of time so it doesn't really bother me. Same price as a couple of pints is the way I see it, and I don't drink any more.

Fiverr is a bad idea, the only things on their you should take advantage of is guest blogging on respected sites or stuff like submitting your video to multiple sites

Most of the fiverr gigs are garbage but if you dig around you can find gems on there.

The best ones are guest posts on high PR pages related to your niche. Before you order get the seller to give you the site url and check it to make sure the site is high quality and doesn't look spammy.

Fiverr gigs don't hurt your site ranking.

Not knowing which Fiverr gigs to use will hurt your ranking.

For example, since the update, there are plenty of talks about creating quality content and cut down spammy backlinks.

Thus you would avoid gigs that promise a gazillion backlinks for $5. However you would still pay someone on Fiverr to write a press release, submit press release, create videos, create content etc.

I would suggest that you have a plan of action on ranking your sites. Then outsource to Fiverr the tasks that you would have done it yourself but rather spend your time doing on a other tasks.

The quality of the majority of Fiverr backlink sellers are quite laughable in comparison to BHWs BST section, but there are a few gems in there if you search hard enough.

Fiverr is good...only if you know which service is good for. If you have some budget, invest into quality content and add them into popular like Wordpress, Livejournal, Tumblr, etc... Then use some distribution service such as Video distribution Document distribution and Article distribution. Do guest posting on relate niche. All of these can be found on Fiverr, but it will cost you more than $5 per month. SEO require money investment if you want to be competitive.

In the end, you just want sales, SEO = Long Term. Focus on Social Network and Media to get potential traffic, once sales is coming in, build on the side your SEO campaign.
