I have been doing retargeting for the past 2 months on a store I own and I am getting around 1-2% click through. Obviously retargeting will yield higher CTR because people have already visited your site.

I have been testing tons of different ads but can't really seem to get better than 2%. Still, compared to any other media buying, that click through is amazing.

I just wanted to know if this is standard or not.

Yes, this CTR for retargeting is OK. The max. average CTR for retargeting is about 2% - 3.5%.

So with 2% you are on the good way. The more important thing is also your conversion rate, this should be very high as well.

I have few image websites that's getting around 1% - 2% CTR and when it comes to non image sites usually it's around 1% - 3% and so far as I know it's better to be less than 3% because then it will not red flagged for High CTR.
